it seems like 2 a decade for now, GTAV and RDR2 in the 2010s but I could see GTA 6 being their only game in the 2020s

Thanks to Jason for his hard work on this upcoming amazing game.
So, novelty of seeing the GTA6 footage aside, there really isn't much appeal to seeing a pre alpha build of GTA6.
We know it's unoptimized, there's very little outside of general conceptual content that you can draw from the game, most of which we already know:
1) We already knew GTA6 exists and is actively in development
2) We already knew that the game focuses on two characters, one male, one female.
3) As it is GTA6, we know crime is involved.
4) We already know that 3rd person mechanics are involved as they always are.
The only way we can really judge the game is when the official gameplay trailer launches.

Definitely. R* and most of Sony's big studios are the cream of the crop when it comes to visual polish and detail in games. This leaked footage is early but it already looks pretty good IMO.
Anyway the fact this got leaked is huge, legendary even. The leaker is a POS using it for bartering (apparently someone bought the GTAV source code for $100K), but I almost half wonder if this wouldn't have happened if some official showing of the game happened earlier. It might've knocked the wind out of the hacker's sails in terms of being the "first" source for GTA6 footage, would've maybe also meant less attention and maybe even an easier time to track them down?
All of this on a random Sunday of all things xD.
Well....its in alpha and from what we've seen, it was taken from 2020 to 2021.
Keep in mind, many have made the point of even showing other titles in alpha to prove thats not really a state where you can judge any of that in.
Understand what you are saying... GTA VI's alpha looking like GTA V means a lot, it means their so fucking good, their damn ALPHA looks like a FINAL GAME
That isn't normally how alpha looks like, models are incomplete, muddy looking, basic figures and in this, they look like to rockstar bare and basic is already near what they've done in another completed game, so for it to look this fucking good in this state, means they have some monster game they are working on currently and don't let how its looking now throw you off or anything.

A wealth of options are given to the player when you hold someone up. Its looks like you can knock out like pistol whip, tie them, take them as hostage.
When the cops get to the location, they don't go inside, they don't shoot, its feasible either that Ai wasn't on display, or they have a option to have a peaceful surrender if civilians are involved. The movement looks updated past RDR2, like crawling on the ground when hurt, like you are able to wound someone and not have them die completely.

I really wonder if that hacker was smart enough to use a fake name for his mail account or not!
I find it stupid already to talk in public when you could just contact Rockstar and try to make a deal directly with them.
Or maybe they tried but Rockstart didn’t give anything and they choose to made it public to try to get some money from somebody that want to pay.
He changing the behavior about the GTA6 source code (first he was selling but after said he won’t sell GTA6 source code just GTA5) is weird.
People are saying he just dumped GTA 5's source code on Github, This will mess up GTA Online for a while if that is true
