GTA 6 leak ?

There’s going to be tons of victim cards played by the studio. Sorry, not sorry. 2 years for a framerate unlock for GTAV, still nothing on RDR2. If you cared about your art, you wouldn’t have left millions of fans thirsty for no apparent reason.

? Soooo break the law as a response? Nahhh bud, this is the dumbest cringe shit I've ever heard.

Don't get wrapped up in this horseshit man, this is just a video game. They are now playing with the livelihoods of theses people for what? a update to a video game? They don't NEED to update shit, all of that by developers has been completely optional and I find it sad that this is the level of entitlement that some gamers have, to the point of breaking the law cause "update to video game your honor"

Say this shit out loud to any sane, rational person and they might laugh at you or think you are joking or being sarcastic or something. The amount of stupidity in the gaming community is wild, breaking the law cause update, sending death threats cause character models, but some of you wonder why people laugh and make fun of cringe gamers crying over shit like this?

Well....its in alpha and from what we've seen, it was taken from 2020 to 2021.

Keep in mind, many have made the point of even showing other titles in alpha to prove thats not really a state where you can judge any of that in.

Understand what you are saying... GTA VI's alpha looking like GTA V means a lot, it means their so fucking good, their damn ALPHA looks like a FINAL GAME

That isn't normally how alpha looks like, models are incomplete, muddy looking, basic figures and in this, they look like to rockstar bare and basic is already near what they've done in another completed game, so for it to look this fucking good in this state, means they have some monster game they are working on currently and don't let how its looking now throw you off or anything.
Sure it's alpha, just saying that it's not very impressive for now.

Jesus wept, what a monumental rant for the ages. Extrapolate to infinity and beyond often do you?

No, I do not feel sorry for shit happening to corporations that don't do right by the customer & community. You may see a simple frame unlock as entitlement - and you are completely wrong.

Let me get you the worlds smallest violin for your social tears you big baby.

It's in development. It's an early alpha video. They care so much about their art that an alpha looks better than most finished games. No need to be an asshole.

I don’t find these leaks to be damaging. Does anyone really?

Calling it one of the “biggest leaks ever” by headlines seems to be a bit much…

Not sure if true… most like in speculation I guess.

People are actually trying to say this person deserves no jail time for what they've done. Firstly, we don't know if they acted alone; there could've been other, older people in his clique working with him but put the kid at the face of it knowing the charges would be less. Gangs are known for doing this type of thing where they have the younger members attack or kill targets because they'll get less severe charges and jail time. There could be something similar of a dynamic here.

Supposing there isn't, however, then IMO some type of jail time is still likely for the hacker. I dunno how they do it in the country they're from, but if there's a juvenile detention center or such there then they'd serve at least part of their sentence that way, then transferred to a prison when they're of legal age. No, I don't think they deserve life in prison, not even close. Five years sounds like a reasonable sentence, though, on top of whatever fines they pay. If they have good behavior they may only end up serving two or three of those years before being released, and they'd still have their whole life ahead of them in any case.

There could also be rehabilitation classes and programs provided to the hacker while they're serving their sentence but the point is, there are some WEIRD people out here these days that think punishment is the antithesis of rehabilitation. It isn't. When you do something wrong, when you break several serious laws, regardless if you're 16 or 61 you deserve sentencing for those crimes under the law. It's that time served which can humble individuals and let them reflect on the gravity of their actions. Just as long as they're being provided a reasonable sentence (again in this case, I think 5 years should be the limit), rehabilitation classes & programs, merit points for good behavior (that could see them end up serving only a portion of the original sentence), and opportunities to continue their education both while serving the sentence and once they are released, alongside job opportunities...then I think it's a perfectly fair scenario all things considered.

I don’t find these leaks to be damaging. Does anyone really?

Actual source code was leaked and sold (apparently). If the wrong people got their hands on that source code, they could use it to reverse-engineer parts of the game, or do all kinds of shenanigans affecting the online components.

The source code being at least partially accessed (GTA 5's at least; some of GTA 6's was supposedly also accessed but was never publicly listed) is actually the most troublesome part of this whole thing.

Well RE4 beat me to it, but I only say that cause from what I've seen from Alpha, they don't look good at all, many times they barely look like games at all, for this to even look like GTA5 in this stage means more then what I think many really understand.

At this stage...this is very, very impressive as the fucking alpha looks like it can stand toe to toe with ACUTAL FINAL GAMES that came out this gen. If this is what rough looks like, this thing is going to look fucking amazing like RDR2 if THIS is alpha to them. Alpha stuff from what I've seen look like PS1 or PS2 looking blocky stuff lol

Its an optional thing, no where on any EULA does it state anywhere for some free mandatory free update for something like that.

Thus...by default it is based on entitlement, it is not some right to have that for free or at some point or anything weird like that.

Yet you are ok with folks breaking the law for a fucking update? That sounds more like a child bud. Its not the end of the world and not worth breaking the law or jail time over.

Sounds cringe lol

I didn’t say anything about breaking the law or that it’s ok to steal and hack things did I? That’s all you. I said I shed no tears for studios that don’t do the right thing by the community in the first place. To you the right thing is governed by the Eula, to me it’s putting the customer first even with the smallest gesture. This company makes stupid money and they can’t spend a comparatively insignificant amount of time to unlock framerate and test it? Oh wait, it’s not in the Eula.

Giddoutahere.
