Liar Infinite has required Steam/Xbox link since day 1. Has been that way with Xbox multiplayer games for years and it's never been an issue. But now it suddenly is. And of course you only have 2.7 hours, the game is garbage

You've played Halo on Steam which requires an Xbox account. You play Apex Legends on Steam which requires linking an EA account. You play Rainbow 6 Siege on Steam which requires linking a Ubisoft account.

EA link has been required since it went to Steam, same with R6 Siege requiring a Ubisoft account. You say you have an issue with it but do it over and over? The drama is quite stupid, it takes a minute to create an account and link it and other than this it doesn't change the game at all. There is no change in the game experience, it doesn't open a launcher, don't need to login again etc. Nothing.

Well they want to integrate PlayStation features such as trophies and social features across both pc and console. It should streamline comms for instance without everyone having to use discord. However, I thought that was also the point of discord integration currently.

And no, this is nothing new to online games… I think every major game has its own memberships that’s necessary.
