The floodgates are about to open. Imagine fucking up a successful GaaS, that got traction outside of the gaming circle, because of a simple PR blunder that could have EASILY been avoided.
Valve fanboys think they'll get Sony to revert this, they'll end up having all of Sony's games delisted from Steam with this fake outrage nonsenseThat's what happens when you mess up a simple thing that could have been avoided.
my friend, this is about refunds and Valve's answer to the situation, it has nothing to do with the outrage itselfBro come on we dont need to make a new thread everytime theres helldivers 2 pc player outrage
Just merge it all into one existing thread
Yeah Sony is the only publisher that shouldn't be allowed to have a required playstation account for their live service online gamesThe floodgates are about to open. No, a company doesn't operate on feelings. Sony just screwed up, which will result in the game losing a lot of players and a massive refund wave. They should have taken the "loss" on this one and started the PSN requirements from Ghost of Tsushima. A much better solution than losing money AND finding yourself in an astroturfed shitstorm of your own doing.Valve fanboys think they'll get Sony to revert this, they'll end up having all of Sony's games delisted from Steam with this fake outrage nonsense
Doesnt have to make another threadmy friend, this is about refunds and Valve's answer to the situation, it has nothing to do with the outrage itself
yeah, i do think they'll continue with PC ports but on their own launcher where they actually control the situation and the userbase, this thing with Steam is madness and insanity to say the leastMaybe this is 4D chess and SIE's way of backing out of their PC strategy?
It's the only way this disaster of a fiasco could make any sense. And at least it'd mean them focusing back on their console the way they should have before the pandemic scared them into thinking GAAS & PC were the only real ways forward.
But, I could also be way too optimistic about that.
i won't merge a single thing, specially when it's a new statement or response of a company that has nothing to do with the outrage itself, this is the staff work, not mineDoesnt have to make a another thread
You can merge this into the main one
We dont need hundred thread everytime theres pc player being mad on helldivers 2
Then you haven't looked at PC gaming in years. 2022's fight over the Epic Game Store blows this out of the water. And Steam won that one too.i've NEVER seen such amount of rage for any other company in the industry for an account requirement, not even the most garbage company in the world like EA
Sony is the only publisher that started forcing this AFTER they sold the game to people. Let's not turn this forum into an xbox-like circle jerk, where it's always someone else's fault. Sony messed up. They should have delayed the game, staggered the release or included a limited "beta" to avoid the technical difficulties they had implementing that at release.Yeah Sony is the only publisher that shouldn't be allowed to have a required playstation account for their live service online games
if i were sony, i wouldn't give money back to steam, or would demand 40$(-30%) anyways.
Q. When can I expect to be paid every month?
A. We pay out by the 30th of the month following sales. For example, we will pay you for calendar February month sales by March 30th. It may take a few business days for the payment to post to your bank account. In that case, you may see the payment in your bank account during the first few days of April, following the example above.

It was their day one but had issues so they had to remove it while they worked on the issues it always said a playstation account was required on the details of the gameSony is the only publisher that started forcing this AFTER they sold the game to people. And again, I don't know why people keep bringing up the "Not only Sony does it" argument. The issue is, that unlike the others, Sony is the only one that did this after they sold the game to people. And while they have a legal leg to stand on by including this in the game's description from the start, they stand on shaky ground when it comes to morality.
It's a horrible way to do things and they possibly killed any momentum the game had. Just pure amateur hour.
