"Give me Bloodborne Sony!!!"

Most Sony games have very positive to overwhelmingly positive ratings. Only TLOU (one of the worst PC ports of all time) and now Helldivers 2 had mixed to positive ratings. So lots of people go and write reviews when they like a game.

These youtubers feast on negativity though. I agree with that. Better to be first in line than to check everything for clicks.

This is not on Steam and Helldivers was not even mentioned. It's a generic FAQ for all games. Valve is not legally obligated to follow that FAQ on Sony corp website.

I agree with this take. After some initial backlash Sony should’ve backed off and tried to take a more tactical swing at it later but now it’s too late. I do agree this could further alienate steam users from buying their games because of this. I’m sure the relationship with them and arrowhead is now strained too. Plus the media pile on, and the very real backlash of their golden goose.

This goes to show, Sony is a guest on pc, not a shot caller, and these aren’t real fans. These are fair weather fans at best, not a new core audience. It makes “psn requirement” a negative meme. Sony just set what little clout they had on fire and potentially killed the game on pc so corporate meeting can boast new psn profile numbers.

Yes. Steam gamers were never core fans or whatever, no one claimed so or wanted that even. We simply buy Sony's games if Sony wishes to sell them to us on Steam. Simple as that.

And you are right about the damage this whole thing has done, it's a disaster.

Hopefully that will make it no longer financially viable to port stuff to pc.
