Looks good.

But coop aspect kills it for me due to my family and friends having bareley any interest in video games.

If they can make it viable for lone players i might pick it up.
Just admit it, Kaz, your family hates you

Lowered expectations due to entry price to be honest … 40$ is too cheap. Not expecting much content now.

Those are all known franchises. Helldivers is a niche IP in comparison to any of them. C'mon.
I didn't say that is going to be as successful as FIFA. I said that there are a lot of successful paid GaaS and shown a few random examples. Other paid ones could be sequels of less top games as could be Dying Light 2 or Payday 2.

There are also a lot of successful GaaS that are new IPs like Genshin Impact, Fortnite, Apex Legends, PUBG, Warframe, Overwatch and many more.

It's basically a brand new IP all over again.
No, it's a sequel.

Of an award winning, well reviewed and good selling game. But well, even if it wouldn't have sold well and would have been a bad game it would still be a sequel and not a new IP.

H2 looks like H1 but as a TPS. I expect the same level of content more or less. The addictive nature of its gameplay is what makes folks go back for the same content again and again. Obviously a great many will burn through the game in a couple months but that is to be expected.

Wondering if the Illuminate will be Season/Expansion DLC or ship in the box.

You would say the opposite if it was 70 dollars.

Sony just can’t win with their prices.

Damned if you do damned if you don’t.

It kinda set expectations a bit. I’m not expecting a campaign now but the first game indeed in third person. I think the game looks dope as far as movement and combat goes from footage and I will be there day one.

Im not actually convinced it’s launching as a “service” game as I haven’t seen any mention of post launch anything… same same but different as far as I’m concerned tho. I expect expansion goals etc… whatever.

Still little known eh?

I can already tell this has more content then its direct competitor which is a $25 game on Steam. Not sure what you were expecting.

It's not too bad but it was obvious they wanted to charge for the game, as they want people to have to sub to PSPlus for these games.

Having PSPlus should give an automatic discount down to 30 at least IMO. I think that would be fair.
