3 games shown for Summer Games season. Astrobot, Concord and Lego Horizon. The latter wasn't even shown at the State of Play. And third party presence was incredibly light
Like who at Sony, following their announcement of no big titles this year to investors, thought dropping a State of Play like this was good enough?
Sony are getting battered in the socials and quite rightly. Somehow their show this year was worse than last year and they received a lot of criticism last year
Last year this time they had Spiderman 2 gameplay, MGS3, Assassin's Creed, Alan Wake 2, Dragons Dogma 2 revealed, Marathon, Fairgame$, Phantom Blade Zero, Concord, Helldivers 2 and PS Portal
It was lackluster because it was a lot of CG and first party was the weakest part of it but it was miles better than this year. Rather than aiming for a better show in 2024, getting all the studios ready for a blowout, they gave us this shit
Now we are just praying for a September Showcase but should we? Recent history shows they will just announced PS5 Pro on PS blog randomly
