Xbox Confirms June Showcase, Bound to Feature Some PS5 Games

With recent Xbox moves to publish many games on PlayStation, it seems a given we will see more soon.

The showcase is a prime opportunity and with games like Starfield getting updates, I could see many ports and new announcements.

I agree. They don't want to give too much publicity to PS ports.

They probably want at least one more holiday season to clear as much Xbox inventory as they can. I don't expect we'll get a ton of big buzz around ports before then.

But on the other hand declining revenues and profits might force their hand. It would be a boon to them to have some big titles available on PlayStation as soon as this summer.

I say between 1-2 games. However, with how things are moving, I feel like Xbox eventually is going to port all their (new?) games to be multiplatform. I never owned an Xbox, and I kind of feel sad for them for struggling like this, it reminds me of how Sega struggled before they went out of the games business. Competition is necessary and helpful to the end user, us.

I'd say they'd wait a few months more after releasing these first 4 games, maybe announce the next round of games around Gamescom or TGS. Like acting as if they were taking time to evaluate if releasing more or not (when the reality is that they already decided that will port all their games).

But who knows, I think it's also possible that they'd release the next batch in their June event.

I think the quantity will be another 4, to be released a few months later, maybe until the end of 2024. In fact, I think the most likely ones would be:

• Redfall
• Forza Horizon 5
• Flight Simulator
• Killer Instinct (this announcement could be done at EVO)

Then early next year they'd announce a third wave with:

• Starfield
• Forza Motorsport
• Halo MCC
• Battletoads

And around summer next year:

• Halo Infinite
• Gears 5
• Age of Empires IV
• Bleeding Edge
