If Stellar Blade ends up selling more than Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (discussion on Sony lowering its standards).

Stellar Blade was super hyped because of the whole sexiness controversy, there's no way Rebirth would have sold more unless it went multiplatform
The point you're trying to make is contradicting to your claim. Stellar Blade is at the moment exclusive to one single platform. Which would reinforce your claim it can't sell higher because it's not Multi-platform. There is no way SB sold more than a long awaited game like FFVII Rebirth.

At least Stellar s new ip. And brought some hack slash action back in focus.

In 60h in Rebirth, chapter 10. Shit doesnt end. Considering that and that its part 2, i dont see it selling some big numbers, not even 7m. Pc version ll push it some more....but honestly they nees to push it more while its hot. Also some sale wouldnt hurt.

I hope square ll be happy with performance, cause game s solid as f.
That's the sad thing, when the game is solid but the sales numbers aren't good. However, a PC release will do it wonders

I always hear PC do wonders. Provide me one receipt in which a SP game aside Souls or some Indie Multiplayer game did solid numbers. FF7R didn't even sell close to 500k on Steam and Epic. PCMR always overestimate the numbers on PC. PC sales are only a slight better than Xbox.

Yeah that's a Live Service game, it doesn't even work without PS+ or Xbox Live. But let's stay with Diablo this are typical franchises which had their origins on PC. Strategic games e.g. like StarCraft, Building & Cracting games like Age of Empires, The Sims, Heroes of Might and Magic do sell probably the best on PC. But how does it look when we compare Final Fantasy, Tales of, Sonic the Hedgehog, Persona, Yakuza, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, Street Fighter, Tekken, Monster Hunter etc. ?
There are some genre which are dominant on PC but most of the SP games which I had name have pretty low numbers on PC usually.

Calling part 1 “remake” was borderline false advertising because it’s actually some multiverse spin—off sequel series … so I get why some fans are upset … because it’s not a ff7 remake. I’m fine with it… they just should’ve communicated this.

this second game tho is well received and the best swing square has taken to cater to modern audiences… but it tracking behind 16 is shocking considering it clearly got a way bigger budget.

The disappointment isn’t with the players for rebirth… probably just square’s bean counters.
The game is clearly paying for Remake's sins, such is the way with sequels-they reap what their predecessors sowed in terms of audience response.

This weird obsession with Rebirth sales and now Stellar Blade is infecting all of gaming discourse. It's sad how so many of you fell for the narrative planted by MS and their salty xbots. You guys are too weak mentally.

100 percent its microsoft funded

Stellar Blade is the new "Assassin's Creed" of this generation.

In other words, it will usher in an era of "polished mediocrity".

The metacritic score of Stellar Blade is a big sign, but many people will dismiss it because it's the new hot thing in town.

5 years from now, enthusiasts will look back at Stellar Blade and see it for what it truly offered to the gaming world: a polished mediocre experience that added ZERO innovation to the gaming landscape.

This game is hardly worth the $70 price tag, but hey 🤷

The Post-Mortem of Stellar Blade next year will be good 💅
LMAO you are talking as if Rebirth is offering some new great innovation in gameplay. I am the biggest Final Fantasy fan and have a collector's edition, deluxe physical edition and the digital deluxe edition for Rebirth, the gameplay is great in rebirth but it is not some heaven defying innovation lol. You are just mad that Stellar Blade is punching above its weight and god knows why lol

It keeps surprising me how much stellar blade is being attacked. Especially when games like Starfield are being defended to ends of the earth when that in actually is the death of quality itself
Starfield is a failure of a video game & signaled the end of Xbox.

Stellar Blade is a PlayStation exclusive that is overrated & sucks.

It won't by a wide distance. Rebirth is a remake of FFVIIR, Stellar Blade is only a Korean hack & slash mixed with Souls.
In the year of our lord 2024 general audiences take the later over the former.
