It’s definitely a good game. I just think they have come too late.
It's tough working with any IP as old as some of the stuff coming out like Robocop and Indiana Jones.

On one hand, you have some people who will feel the content resonate from a nostalgia perspective, on the other you'll have folks who may be growing tired of the IP, or do not want to see any adaptation deviate significantly from the early films.

Personally, I fall into a bit of the apathetic category on Indiana Jones. I enjoyed the early movies as a child, but I never idolized them. As a result, the latest entries with the IP, such as the Dial of Destiny, felt like a very sad attempt at playing on nostalgia for money.

Thus, any interest for this game will depend on gameplay and reviews to hook me significantly into buying.

Your Mom
such as the Dial of Destiny
I feel like Harrison Ford knows a good script. I don't know why he agreed to the last couple of these. I mean, he clearly doesn't need the money. And I am sure he wants to protect his reputation for starring in good movies.

That in indeed a reach...

If he at least tried to wrote "Xbox's answer to Uncharted" I could really understand.

First instinct def was to compare to Uncharted, but I guess the series has been MIA since 2017 with The Lost Legacy.
Anyhow, it is big wishful thinking on his part.
Indiana Jones game is very late to the party, especially with what happened in 2023(and the years prior).

Harrison Ford likes Indiana Jones and he isn't getting any younger, this was most likely the last time before he was really too old to do anything at all. The whole "old man/hero lets younger people take more space" might not be what fans want but I think one can assume that a 80 years old man has a different view on things.

My issue is that comparing Spider-Man with Indiana Jones feels like comparing Mario to Call of Duty.

I have no ideia who anybody could say Call of Duty was the answer to Mario 😂😂😂

😂😂😂

Easy, execs/shareholders would.
They're only looking at numbers, how much value is my IP compared to the others giant IPs.
GTA vs CoD vs Mario type vibes, y'know?

Of course… first-person will break any sense of adventure the game could have.

I think if done correctly you can have a sense of adventure. FPS puzzle games and WRPG can set a great feeling of adventure. Mix in controls like Mirrors edge and it could be interesting.
I find more adventure and immersion in something like a 1st person WRPG then a 3rd person 1 tbh. But I like both and really depends on the game. Combat is always better 3rd person in these those types of games

The real question is why are they this negative? Arent they afraid to burn bridges?
We have seen the same from others in the industry even devs such the makers of this game by mentioning a upcoming ps5 pro version. And for instance the dev of silent hill stating they used to make shitty games but now good ones. (Their previous game was a timed exclusive for xbox, silent hill a console exclusive for ps).

Only a fool would suggest Indiana Jones is as popular as Spider-Man. Only a retard would think a mediocre video-game based on Indiana Jones would be anywhere as successful as PlayStation’s Spider-Man.

The one that should have gotten VR support. Definitely skipping this though

I don't know but they trend to be very harsh with bad games.
They beat on Redfall too.
