I dont think so. They are working on a bunch of online games but they said there not gonna forget what they do best, Single player games.

Yea I mean people forget Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, Cory’s new game and Druckman supposedly WRPG. Also Sony funding Knights of the old republic. New sequel to ghosts.

Blue points new project.

Not to mention any exclusive first party titles in development by contract studios.

Well thats what we were getting by end of LAST gen. Bunch of Xbox people all bitching. Or people I should say who primarily play online games.

People should remember a lot of devs from Fable 1+2 are working on this, i'm all in on it.
SP games aren't going away and in fact by 2025 SIE is investing way 50% than they are now.

The news that Sony could be creating a brand new team to work on a possible Uncharted game shows you that SIE want SP as much as GaaS this generation..
GaaS will fund future SP projects too aswell as expanding the studios aswell, we're getting both this gen.

People are negative about everything, if they announced a single player game people would find something to be disappointed aobut, if it were a vr game people would be liek yeah, but what about people who dont want vr? If its multiplayer….

I dont see how it doesn’t look like a cool concept, its giving me avatar last airbender vibes, im all for sony diversifying.

I’m way more interested in this concept than what i thought we’d be getting from London Studio tbh

For so long they’ve been a little experimental-incubation tank for sony hardware and while blood and truth was cool it didn’t stand out very much story/character wise and it was on wack hardware. There are people that are into playstation first party games that don’t even know they exist, thats how little they’ve managed make a name for themselves in these later years.

Its cool to see them branch out and put out a big budget combat oriented game (not shooter) with a bunch of unique ideas. People wanting another getaway its like…lol that franchise has been gone longer than a full legal drinking age adult, no one cares about it other than a handful of people in their late 30’s and 40’s. You are not sonys target demo

I’m glad sony is giving its smaller studios big budgets to do what they want. Team Asobi is another studio that will get a mainstream hit this generation.

I’ve talked about this before in the thread about Embark studios and what i wanted sonys Multiplayer games to look and feel like.
