October 17th is the new season start date, it should shoot up then, so is the nature of such games.

Sure, but successful live service games do not fall off the charts completely at any point waiting for a new season to start etc…. you’ll see it with something like sea of thieves on Xbox itself but nothing behaves that way. For an IP as huge as Diablo and with the massive launch push it was given… dropping out within 6 months of launch is terrible. Not even Halo cratered this badly. Honestly, Diablo just became the newest best example of a live service fail.

Blizzard without a doubt should not have launched the game when they did, you can see by the amount of Qol changes they discussed a few days ago that the game needed at least another 6 months to a year in beta.

That being said they are committed to the game and we will see what other changes they have to itemisation and balance of the tenth of this month, another 2-hour stream.

Also, Blizzcom is still to come this year, i would expect them to show of some new class, and probably a new DLC which i think will get people hyped up even though that is probably a year away.

~i am a huge fan of the diablo series and want it to succeed but they are on a clock, until Poe 2 hits next year,
