FFXVI, on the other hand, will be out of top 10 best selling games by the end of 2023. Catastrophic situation for FF series in Japan.

I was about to comment the same thing, p5 tactica flopped in every region. I hope the msft paycheck was worth it

I think P5 Scramble(The Dynasty Warrior spinoff) sold like more than 100k copy on PS4 along first week, and a bit less than that is Switch, not sure how many but pretty good number

Playing digital games is another option too.
I mean to have any ideia what they are playing we needs some more info:

• Number of units sold in digital.
• Number of units sold outside the TOP10 or TOP30 from physical.
• Number of owned PS4 games the owner have.

Without these it really hard to make any guess.

Physical TOP10 is 8k units.
How much you believe it will be the TOP100? Let's say the TOP20 have 4 PS5 games with ~5k units sold... these sum 20k units.
When you start to sum all of these plus digital you see people are buying games for PS5 and it is proportonally to how many is being sold every week.

So because it's not a huge seller that means its ok for Xbox to snatch it up and make it exclusive?? Cut it out. Persona and Yakuza were a big part of why I am a PS fan. Plus it flopped only due to the awful xbox marketing deal, the last persona 5 spinoff sold well. JRPGs and beat em ups are a niche genre, they're never gonna do crazy numbers. That doesn't make them any less amazing or important.

It's juys very puzzling to see such abysmal reported software figures.

I'd love to see software totals for PS4 vs PS5 at this stage in their cycles to atleast see something.

I think not really about GP, but about the green marketing and hiding other competition "info" like Switch and PS. And also green marketing sucks as well.

Just look at their marketing video, completely snubbing of it coming out to either Switch and PS.

Sega really dumb to sign for green base marketing lol. No ways in hell their "big franchise" can get great result if they go green marketing.

there's honkai star rail too, monster hunter, and soon to be zenless zone zero (sometime in h1-early h2 next year most likely, depends if they run a 3rd closed beta test). ZZZ is going to be a monster in JP and CN and likely gobble up any Persona games' lunch.
