you know that forum is nuts when they were too crazy even for resetera. like any console that's not portable or mobile will not sell tens of millions in japan, the fact that they keep ignoring that fact is hilarious to me.
Is being too crazy for resetera even possible?

Everything... Meta affect sales of all games.
Famitsu gives 35+ to most if not all games.

RE6 is a lower meta than Forspoken, it sold 700K units in its first week in Japan.

Meta, especially in Japan of all places, doesn't sway sales nearly as much as you think.

haha surprisingly yes, that's how that forum got it's start because they were upset that they couldn't trash Playstation's sales in Japan in peace. same for xbox era around the time when the halo infinite reveal was an internet laughing stock.

Wow, Wild Hearts selling the same # as Forspoken.

And Forspoken completely dead on arrival. Did it even hit 50k unit sales in Japan in its life ?
Sold more than Hi-Fi Rush.

Forspoken clearly not designed for Japanese audience. They’ve rejected it just like everyone else.

Wild Hearts has a decent opening. It’ll be interesting to see how a Monster Hunter rip off performs long term.

Can we just stfu with Hi-Fi Rush and Forspoken? Almost nobody gives a damn about either of those games and they are being brought as some sort of cannon fodder for console warring or to distract from the actual conversation. Move on.
of course. you could talk about xbox hardware sales numbers, those 6,5k .. but who wants to talk about it? clearly not adamsapple :D

And now it seems like Era moderation is super lenient on those kinds of people in order to keep them from leaving.

lol literally only adamsapple is obsessed with bringing up forspoken, a game that charted in Japan while hi fi flush did not. That topic is dead and buried and is his only schtick.

switch hw is dropping like a rock, seems to be a pattern everywhere.

Everyone and their mom has two switch’s already. Its still doing decent for 6 year old very outdated hardware but theres no way Nintendo could survive 2024 without something new

There was a big uptick in Xbox sales this week compared to last week. Any reason for this? A price drop? New games? Better availability?

Over on the software chart, Hogwarts Legacy has an impressive hold. Selling almost 37,000 copies on PS5, it falls just 45% in its second week. The PS5 makes another appearance at #2, with EA’s Wild Hearts debuting to just shy of 27,000 sales. We’ll know exactly how the game is performing next week when we see that all-important second week drop, but for now the results are inconclusive. Sony gets a third and final place at #8 on the chart, as Tales of Symphonia Remastered on PS4 shifts 7,000 units, far below the Switch version’s near-22,000 copies, bagging it the #4 spot on this week’s chart.
