He’s clearly unwell both mentally and physically. Unfortunately Jim is being enabled into an early grave. He’s a victim of a cult.

Prior to said transition, like even before YouTuber Jim, then-Destructoid writer Jim had a ton of hot take reviews, dude was Armond White level for quite a while. If these reviews are your metric for poor mental health (which I personally disagree with), then that predates the transition by a lot of years.Prior to her transition, Sterling was already showing signs of deteriorating mental health. Sadly, it seems to be getting even worse since.
I think people shouldn't take her reviews as insightful in the slightest.
That the metacritic of a game was dropped by one poor review just shows how broken meta/opencritic are and how easy to manipulate the metascore is.
I used to watch him 5-6 years ago when he used to shit on garbage released from steam greenlight and was on the major fuck konami phase, then his every show started having jokes about how he enjoys getting shafted with oversized dildos and yeah completely turned me off and I stopped watching. Then once I saw him dressed up in a dress while browsing youtube and realized the dude literally went complete bonkersPrior to her transition, Sterling was already showing signs of deteriorating mental health. I mostly played it in 3 hour sessions and near the end of every session I thought to myself why am I even playing this, I finished it to get my money's worth but this feels like a complete scam by Itsuno. This is a game 99% won't go back into, the NG+ is worthless and pointless. Instead of an arisen saving the world most of the time I felt like a chump doing menial side quests, for an example-observing the beggar side quest is pure time padding, you can sit up to 15 mins just waiting. They are really trying to push this game to be seen as good as elden ring because FF7 rebirth seems to most likely be the GOTY this year and that means a PS exclusive wins and we can't have that.TBH the media seems to have colluded to try to boost this game up because it's a multiplat and they're jealous of how tremendous Playstation's releases have been so far. The metascore tricked one of my friends into buying it and he's already looking for other games to play -_-
He’s done this more than once. I kinda think he should just be ignored …
One wonders what he'll give Stellar Blade....... :-(
She doesn't like a satire of US imperialism? That's what I'm worried about too.
He wasn't kind to Helldivers and I think much of that was politically motivated too. He might not have liked the tone.
Sterling did give FF7 Rebirth a 9/10, so who knows? Although the reception of the demo has been mostly positive, I'm willing to bet there will be a good amount of Xbox-aligned clowns (Gene Park, Tassi, Digital Foundry), or pretentious moralists (Eurogamer) who will try to tank the MC and/or public opinion. That's what I'm worried about too.

The game is none of those things. In no world is less than a 7-8.I read his review now and I agree with him.
His lower score is not about the game could have been but what more reviewers should do when faced with so atrocious micro-transactions mechanics.
The developer probably used more time creating micro-transactions mechanics than mechanics to the own game.
If more reviewers could have that same sense pro-consumer we should be be having to buy abusive games in terms of micro-transactions.
His review is a good slap to the industry to see if they wake up but sadly it will be criticized by weird gamers and forget by the industry.
Maybe one day more jump the cause and the true message finally reach in the publishers and developers.
For me games should receive below 5/10 if it is:
- Rushed and unpolished
- Bloated with micro-transactions
- Randomized lootboxes micro-transactions
- F2P with P2W micro-transactions
I don't like Jim but this time he deserved my
tried to give you the benefit of the doubtThat's what I was referring to.
It's not just "hot takes" LOL
I agree it balanced out but I still think its a bogus review.Eh, 85 total MC score is fair for DD2 - it's a great score and better than game of the generation Starfield. Sterling's review balances out several of the bogus 100 scores from shill and sham websites.
I thought we agreed this person was not well for years and long before transitioning.tried to give you the benefit of the doubt
maybe he subverts expectations and gives it a 10/10One wonders what he'll give Stellar Blade....... :-(
