Thats fantastic!

Off Topic: I wish they would publish the attach rate for the DLC, I have a feeling it is very high. Just interested.

Send it to reset era! The beta for this game had the most realistic graphics. Should have kept it that way even if it meant 720p 20 FPS on a PS4. Now it would run much better.

Doesn't this game go on sale for 2$ regularly, half of the sales seem to be stat padding like Capcom. The game is good fantastic even but this 8 million sold pr headline is dumb

From Wikipedia:

Game director Daniel Vávra stated that the game sold 500,000 units during its first two days,[63][64] of which 300,000 were on Steam.[65] Within two weeks of release, the game had sold over 1 million units.[66] A year after its release, the game had sold over 2 million units.[67] In June 2020, Warhorse announced that it had sold 3 million units, as well as 1.5 million units of additional DLCs.[68] In June 2022, Warhorse announced that it had sold over 5 million units.[69] In February 2024, Warhorse announced that it had sold over 6 million units.[70] In November, they announced it had sold over 8 million units.[71]

It's probably safe to assume the bulk of those first 2 million were sold at full price, and the following 3 million until June 2022 were sold at a ~50-60% discount.
Within the last 2 years we've had crazy discounts for the game, though I think the purpose was to increase the amount of people anticipating the sequel rather than making them a lot of money.

This is still a lot more copies than Dragon Age Veilguard will ever achieve, though. And that makes me really hopeful for the future of western videogames.

It was for sure a big success for a smaller team. How cheap it’s been selling for years isn’t really a reason to throw shade at it since consumers are clearly willing to buy it at that price. I would’ve myself but I’d prefer fantasy and fictional settings for my rpgs.

Recently bought this and pre-ordered the sequel. Can't wait to see what the fuss is about 😎

Proof you can have broken combat/gameplay and a game still sells millions lol.

Love the immersion in the game, and everything about it apart from the combat was so bad.
I felt like I was playing Street Fighter 1 again, input command is lagged, sometimes it doesnt even do an attack when you press the button.

I remember playing Hello Neighbour… a broken piece of shit game that got a s sequel. Ive played games in there 1st year of dvelopement more polished that Hello Neighbour..

Unless they change the combat in KCD 2 these sales at low price for the first game wont covert to people buying KCD 2, Fantastic immersion but wonky combat
