I can corroborate the part about toxic positivity. Some sources I've spoken with blamed a head in the sand mentality carried over from the studio's Bungie roots.
A sense the game would come together because the team was too good to fail. I'll have more next week.

Sounds about right for ex bungie dev & woke/self inserted “professor”

The game had no X factor, it’s a hero shooter w no super that alone should’ve told you this studio/devs know jack shit about hero shooters/multiplayer

The kinda people this forum fosters is sometimes eyebrow raising but good to see a few call em out.

But having only yes men around will always be a recipe for disaster no matter how talented the team is.

The game was still great but definitely can see how this kinda mentality affected the end result.

The game was indeed good.
The game... play? The mechanics?

I have a theory they are testing game engines in drag's rainbow clothing, trying to find the next one to hit big.

When one does, suddenly a more adult counterpart will spring-up with simillar mechanics (see the released Destruction All-stars vs planned Twisted Metal reboot).
