It’s no surprise Lego Horizon flopped & bomb on all platform. A PS first party studio releasing a multiplat game rated at 70 (yellow) is no good sign.

At $60 it looks like & is speculated the Lego Horizon has perform similar to concord only selling 25K to 30K first week. On all platforms the game didn’t reach above top 50 in the charts across the board on the PS, Steam & Nintendo storefront the game hasn’t track well for a massive game using 2 massive franchise (Lego & Horizon)

This game should’ve been a easy knockout like Astro Bot but it seem from the low ratings to the game being multiplat every gamer across the 3 platform including PS, PC & Nintendo players don’t care about a Lego Horizon a PS game releasing day n date from 2 massive brands.

From it being $60 to the game not being desirable who’s exactly is this game for? The young audience & family aren’t going to cough up $60 for a Lego game & the game itself isn’t desirable for PS, PC & Nintendo players. But isn’t the point of multiplat was to expand audience? Wasn’t the point of multiplat to get more sells? Well it look like it achieve none of em you can argue if it was exclusive there would be more desire & support from PS own consumers that they seemingly forgot about & would’ve drive interest of new gamers just like Astro Bot aswell as PC & Nintendo gamers to buy it on the PS storefront w Sony getting 100% cuts.

This isn’t a good sign for 3rd party as it shows the PS has no trust with these smaller games being successful or PS wanting to cater & build support for these games from first party to PS fans. If anything this just proves to 3rd party that making these games on PS isn’t worth it & should only & focus on making these Indy smaller type games for Nintendo as they have build a platform & consumer base that appreciates & support smaller AA fun type games.

Such a shame because the game of priced at $50 & made exclusive would’ve been another nice exclusive game riding of the AA success of Astro Bot & push PS4 gamers to PS5 which PS has failed to do 4 years upon the release of the console.

Not sure what Herman was thinking about yet another bomb by him. How many bombs & millions will he make Sony loose before he gets the point following Xbox isn’t the right future & maybe look at Nintendo, Steam, Netflix, Apple.

Will be interesting to see the numbers by circan but I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t even charted or hit top 20.

Edit: Concord had a higher peak on Steam & that game had all the DEI & YouTube/Twitter grifters making the game have a toxic & ick to even play/buy somehow had a bigger peak. Also Concord was a new ip & not 2 mega franchise those being Lego & Horizon

So I guess with this PlayStation doesn't really have a big Holiday game this year it seems. (I honestly thought Lego Horizon would of done well.)
Putting faith in Concord, Lego Horizon, and the Until Dawn Remake were the wrong games to market.
They should of pushed Astrobot to the moon similar to Spider-Man 2 and God of War Ragnorok since you know the game is the sequel of a game that is free on Every PS5 sold.

🙄 ill wait for games industry.b or circana or vgc. This is just empty speculation and means nothing. Its a holiday game expected to move with new hardware. All this worrying is premature.

If PS didn’t port there previously PS5 exclusive to PC they could’ve bundle & use those games to promote PS5 in general selling to new consumers & or potential PC, Xbox & Nintendo consumers but also building a library of exclusive PS5 games that would’ve made PS4 gamers that more inclined to buy & convert to PS5 from PS4. Surprise there isn’t a Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man remake & Miles bundle as a PS5 Spider-Man bundle targeting the casuals & or bundles that feature 2 of the smaller games such as Sackboy, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart & Returnal which are amazing games to first start of w the PS5. Or just bundling these remakes that if PS don’t port & release these remakes on PC would’ve been cheap very cheap & easy game bundles that wouldn’t hurt the bottom line & instead look like it was a great deal. Uncharted 4 remake bundle a Horizon bundle featuring zero dawn remake the dlc & forbidden west etc

Can they bring back Concord now then 😼

But I doubt this has sold that little but if it did then they absolutely deserve it
From all the stats & charting across PS & PC alone but also Nintendo it seems to be doing on par if not a lacking a lil behind & or selling slightly higher then concord either way it’s not a big hit or seller nor there seem to be any interest on any platform across PS, PC & Nintendo

They should’ve had this Lego Horizon game release w new sets of Lego & made this Lego Horizon game $40 with no discount at all pushing aggressive from the start & maybe even making a $70 bundle that features the Lego Horizon game & Horzion Zero Dawn remake + the DLC

I don’t think it flopped because it’s multiplat,
I think these games are flopping because they’re not interesting. Who asked for a Lego horizon game? Who is that even for?
It is 100% because it's multiplat. The first trailer was well received and many people (including myself) were interested in getting the game (I love Horizon) but after Sony's full third-party pivot I need a lot of convincing to get a Sony game.

I don't buy EA, Ubisoft or Embracer games on Day 1, why would I buy another 3rd-party game? Deep sale flop written all over it.

This IP is deemed to be "popular" because of stat padding. They sold 19 million copies if you remove the bundles from the 25 million sales. Yet the game only made $480 million which works around to 25$ per copy for non bundled sales. If you consider this in terms of full price copies then zero dawn sold about 8 million albeit the low cost copies are doing the heavy lifting here. The novelty of robot dinosaurs only works once.

We saw a massive drop off in copies sold for forbidden west and unlike PS4 gen Sony wont lower prices to stat pad like in the case of zero dawn for $19.99 so sales will be much lower. Come the 3rd game game I expect it do 1/5th of what zero dawn copies sold overall and hopefully rid us of Guerrilla and Herman permanently.

Guerrilla better start pre-production of a new IP already. If they think they will be able to continue to milk Horizon ip in the next generation they are for a rude awakening
