The internet is kind of a loss for words on another EA title in another bad state. But this time its their biggest cash cow for consoles, and its buggier and messier than the previous year according to some...

Well,

It's another year and Another Madden, yet here we are all disappointed in how bad the bugs and glitches are for our Favorite sport game. What's even more maddening no pun intended is that the NFL license is basically exclusive to EA for them paying for use of the it.

So I ask the community is this 100% on EA for the shipping another buggy/broken game that they have a history of making and having issues but not being challenged by the community?

Or is there a deeper issue one thats been brought up before, and one that was a talking point for Fifa license?

Where are the days of Sega's 2k series that once almost rivaled EA's premier sports titles? Is the issue EA, or is the issue NFL/FIFA/NHL/MLB organizations making it almost impossible for smaller studios or anyone with sports passion in games to make a rival to challenge the titans of sports games?

Would more competition breed better pressure on EA/2K to make better games?

Is this even a surprise? There's no competition and unlike back in the day, a one year development cycle simply isn't enough time to release a quality NFL product. Excluding Madden NFL 13 with Calvin Johnson on the cover, I have never enjoyed a Madden football game and when there was competition, always preferred the alternative. Tecmo Super Bowl, NFL Sportstalk Football/NFL 95 from Sega to NFL GameDay from Sony to NFL Quarterback Club from Acclaim if I remember correctly to NFL 2K from Sega. The alternative football game was always the better product and game of football. Shame that the Madden series is bad year after year but without competition and a one year development cycle and tens of millions of gamers still buying it, it's never going to change.

Will watch Angry Joe's Madden NFL 23 review later tonight. Every year, he has hope and every year he ends up extremely angry. lol
