Why is it that for some games, like starfield, we take the average that has the fewest reviews and for other games we do the opposite?
It doesn't make sense

I checked on several games.
This is not the case.

There are games that have the average with the most tests possible that is taken into account.

And other games, like starfield, take the average with the fewest tests possible.

which makes the ranking wrong and of no interest whatsoever, since it's biased.

I never understood the controversy regarding MJ’s stealth section in the first game. It was simple and harmless. Are people just bad at the game?

For some people, the MJ and Miles stealth sections broke the pacing. Not a big deal, hardly controversial.

Opencritic has always been better and should be the industry standard. Metacritic is stuck in the past.

We need more competition in the area too.

Sites that remove outlier scores etc.

The problem with metacritic is that despite the controversies, they don't want to question themselves.
As long as there's no transparency, things won't change.

Yes and companies and even gamers give them legitimacy by checking them so much and basing pay and bonuses on getting certain scores etc.

We are even guilty of it here, I check the site all the time, even though I prefer Opencritic.
