As they know that we will not be able to verify, knowing that no one knows exactly how Metacritic calculates the average.
They will tell you that noisy pixels weigh more than all the others and there is no error in the average.


Who remembers the uncharted 4 case? with this garbage test which lowered the score from 94 to 93.

A coincidence ? I highly doubt it.

stuff like this makes me happy the entire WaPo "gaming" staff was fired and only Gene Park is left. He still sucks too tho but they were definitely horrible.

Lmao at a 40 for uncharted 4. Not my favorite in the series but its objective an 8 at the worst

It would have to do something extremely offensive or be broken to receive a 4/10. It amazes me how much Naughty Dog triggers people

Try to find that review because it is a joke... he basically gives nothing informative about the game, it's very short and so vague that it could be about anything.

The guy who wrote it also used to write "contrarian corner" on IGN... where he would take a game and write a review or take about it that goes against the common perception. If the game was universally loved, he would pan it and look for reasons to pan it from the very beginning.

So I never agreed with allowing that guy to put his review to a game on metacritic.

Back when the review came out, I argued with Gene Park about allowing it and ma and another guy started a petition, Troy Baker even signed it and promoted it but was chastised for by a few people in the industry for criticizing a review. He was absolutely right though, it wasn't good for consumers to see a review that was so disingenuous.

Bazicenter was added yesterday and game is still stuck as the lowest 90 game on all time list. Weird. Really weird.

Metacritic should of never redesigned the site. It’s buggy and worse. The old layout was better, imo.

Surprised about that 10 from them. A writer from there said, “It looks like a movie I’ve already seen twice”. Luckily a different person reviewed it.

That reviewer was a joke. He complained about bugs and technical issues, but gave Jedi Survivor a 9.5 and ignored how horrible the performance the game had at launch. SM2’s had some bugs, but they didn’t ruin the experience.

Unbelievable. Do you think it’s a bug, or do these sites that are giving it 9’s and 10’s aren‘t heavily weighted?

Well if we assume that the weights can range from x0.25 to x2 and we give Noisypixel the maximum weight, and all the 8s maximum weight and the rest minimum weight, then the weighted average from those reviews is a 8.1. Excluding the noisy pixel review the weighted average would have been an 8.5. Now, if everything was weighted the same, the average would have been a 9.0 including the noisypixel review and 9.3 without.

Those highly-weighted reviews really skew things.

No way Noisey Pixel is weighted more than Dualshocker and Digital Downloaded is weighted more than Dualshocker too. Dualshocker's 10/10 should have bump the score back to 91. At the end of the day the game's gonna stay in the 90 range but this is a joke.
