Matt Piscatella thinks PlayStation has one more gen of physical retail games and Nintendo two. Xbox obviously is already killing physical.

Mat and Dring just need to provide objective data and be quiet. No one cares about their biased opinions.

We already know Sony 1st party titles sell way better physically. They have no incentive to get rid of physical anytime soon, it'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

Physical media is on its way out. PlayStation might have 1 more gen of physical copies. Digital only will be reality whether you like it or not.
Yes, for your precious Trashbox, don't project that failure to others.

Don't touch consoles. Physical media is on its way out. That's fact.

People have been dooming about physical games for years now. As well, Matt is not an authority nor does he have knowledge on future business decisions by Sony or Nintendo. It's been strange seeing all these opinions that the two successful platforms are definitely, absolutely going to follow Xbox's downward trajectory. Physical is dead, consoles are dead, exclusives are dead, etc. For me, all this has definitely confirmed that the Twitter bubble is not reflective of reality and a lot of people on there frame their opinions as facts.
I'm worried when I see regulars here, who should know better than listen to these fat fucks, saying they are ready to move to PC because of what this xbot is projecting Sony will do 10+ years into the future 🤦‍♂️

Are you guys also taking your life decisions according to Pachter? 🤡

I do understand the concern over physical media, but Matt and people like him are not who I would be looking to for clarification on this issue. Too many people have their own biases on this subject and too many who prefer digital seem to actively wish for the death of physical media. We all know why Xbox is going towards all digital, but their circumstances are not relevant to Sony and Nintendo. And unless Sony and Nintendo start giving solid reasons why we shouldn't buy their software (physical or digital), they will never be like Xbox.

Nobody said it was fact. Most games are bought through digital stores. So it makes sense from a business perspective to cut out the middle man and go all digital. Saves money and more people prefer digital bought. Physical media is declining rapidly. 1 more gen of physical copies at best. Physical copies are extremely outdated.

Physical media is a preference. It's obviously not yours, but it is for many others. Your bias is showing when you call it outdated. You're simply stating your opinion as a fact and you don't even realize it. I have no interest in continuing to argue with you. Take care.

Physical media declining is fact. Physical media is outdated. Hence why it's being phased out through music,DVDs,games etc. look I get physical media is big for you, but the writing is on the wall. You can ignore it if it makes you feel better, but the reality remains unchanged.

I’d say part of Xbox demise is linked to the ever shrinking retail presence. It’s a channel that garners visibility and brand recognition. Without - things kind of fade into the back.

Another thing we have been hearing since the PS3.

I like the option of physical but Ive been mostly digital since 2014 and havent had any issues ever. Only physical I buy is some collectors editions. Im too lazy to keep getting up to change discs lol

It's true that the PC is almost 100% digital, but on the PC you've got Steam, which brings everything together and prices are much cheaper than on consoles, and your games you keep for life and are compatible with your future hardware, unlike consoles where it's more expensive and you have no guarantee of backwards compatibility.

Im pretty sure PS will be BC going forward. They also kept there word with PS1/PS2 games being “free” if you bought them before on PS3Vita
