Considering how Starfield looks and seems to play, I don't think even PlayStation's platform could have salvaged that half-ass pile of shit.

Nothing of value was lost.

True.

I’m just thinking hypothetically if Bethesda was still fully independent.

I trust a senior executive citing their numbers, not their numbers at face value alone.

Thanks for playing.
Senior executives that have blatantly lied before? And plz don't ask me when and how (because you know) lol Microsoft has done it enough times that we all know 😂 from the "we won't give up so and so % power advantage to ps4" to kinect bs from the past. All blatant lies from execs, to my favorite, how they lied through their teeth about the seriousness of rrod until taken to court 😊 they sure have done a number on you.

Keep it up oh blind follower. I love your faith lol

Yep. Famitsu is under-reporting PS5 and over-reporting Xbox sales, as per Media Create.

The difference for PS5 is like 20K 🙄 It's nothing.

Is Famitsu going to make a correction or explain their numbers? What is install base and Welfare saying about this? 🤔

All of Xbox sales are not what’s been reporting. It’s like 2M less.

With Sony ramping up production for PS5 and are going to ship over 18M this year, Xbox is pretty much for done for this generation trying to gain marketshare. Sony’s increased chip production is not going to stop.

It definitely feels like Microsoft might be struggling with getting supply out there, they've forecasted Xbox sales being flat quarter over quarter. But it's also not helping them that they don't have much of a 1P lineup for the next six months, and their lineup of ecosystem exclusives isn't that much more when not including indie games.

It's really just Pentiment (eh), Grounded (eh) for 1P, and High on Life (looks good) & Scorn (interesting, but most are repulsed by it). RedFall probably doesn't release until at least March, and Starfield is probably June at earliest, narrowly H1. Forza Motorsport is sometime H1 but, it's ultimately just more Forza.

Considering how Starfield looks and seems to play, I don't think even PlayStation's platform could have salvaged that half-ass pile of shit.

Nothing of value was lost.

I've ben doubting for a while if Sony actually tried getting timed exclusivity on Starfield. Maybe they saw something that looked better than what got shown in June, but I can't picture them seeing what we saw in June and thinking that would've been ready for release anytime soon.

Considering they not only helped with marketing but IIRC also aided in some of Deathloop's development behind-the-scenes, I'm thinking if Sony were trying to get timed exclusivity on Starfield it would've involved them also helping out on the development side here and there, which would've been very appreciated I'm sure.

If this is true number representative then I believe issue MS is having is not stock related. It’s 2022 they have released nothing to excite buyers. God of war and MW2 on top of last of us is creating more demand.

Microsoft really fucked up like I said hedging their bets for their slate on two titles that got pushed.

Yeah, agree. I don't think they did either.

I know there are certain boys here that want to believe it happened, but there is literally just one rumor from Imran Khan, and no one else reported it. But let's look at it from a logical POV:
  • The 2020 rumor said that they tried getting Starfield as a timed exclusive but couldn't because of Microsoft. Means they'd have gotten, at best, a 2019 build to evaluate it. If the game looks this bad in 2022 in a vertical slice, imagine how awful it must have looked in 2019. Would they even have anything substantial to show back then, considering Jason's reports that they have been half-assing it for a while? I doubt it.
  • Imran Khan said they got timed exclusives from every publisher. I don't see any timed exclusives from Ubisoft, Take Two, EA, Capcom, etc. Means the rumor was already false to begin with.
  • They got Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo. What was stopping them for getting Starfield if they really wanted to? Microsoft? Don't fanboys say that Microsoft couldn't influence any decision before the acquisition? Whether they could influence or they couldn't: they gotta pick one

Here I am coming from Twitter, Xbox fanboys attacked me so bad when I tweeted it because it's the truth, Media Create is the most reliable website for tracking Japan sales, even Nintendo itself relies on them, but since it became a PAID website, everyone turned to Famitsu, which is less reliable, also it makes sense since Xbox doesn't sell in Japan, anyone who thought otherwise is a delusional freak aroused by Phil Spencer's taint. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️

Also thank you so much to @Bryank75 for posting my tweet here, I appreciate it. ❤️❤️

Is it bad that I really don't think it looks bad? It certainly looks derivative, for sure, but I can't say the gameplay looked bad. I mean No Man's Sky has a similar gameplay loop and I enjoy that. It's just that I kind of expected something a tad more original from such a hyped AAA IP.
