Why would they not want to start owning their games after Sony refused to greenlight a sequel? Who wants to work on a game and engine, while having the game sold millions only to be told... Sorry no sequel for you.

This interview is a few months after The Order 1886 came out and nothing in this interview suggests the sequel wasn't greenlit.

If you read it is sounds like they were wanted to go multiplatform and publish their own games and own their own IPs while working on The Order 1886.

And no the game did not sell millions and has a 63 metacritic score

A sequel wasn't greenlight... They wanted to do a sequel that we know

The game sold 1.3 million alone digitally, get your facts right or shush

And that 1.3 million digitally is almost twice as much as Killzone Shadowfall sold digitally, yet people still clobbering for some sorta revival... 🤣

This was 5 years later Shinobi is saying it wasn't greenlit.

Blaming Sony for not greenlighting a sequel to a game that bombed 5 years prior is ridiculous.

Maybe they shouldn't have waited 5 years to pitch it

And guess what, there isn't another Killzone game... and Killzone did sell over 2 million in 4 months, The Order did not

Nowhere did Shinobi said anything about 5 years after. He said they had bigger plans for the sequel which they spoke about before the game was even out. The only timeline he gave was that the sequel wasn't greenlight before they got acquired which is why the meta acquisition happened.

And yes I will blame Sony for throwing a dedicated Partner under the bus....

Shinobi also said years ago the game was profitable and we have digital sales for the game lol... The game sold millions no matter how much denial you wanna be in 😬

Damn look at you being so dumb you couldn't spot sarcasm lmao. The Order sold more than ShadowFall tho, you hate to see it.

They bought fire sprite and haven but couldn't save RAD...

Come on!!!
You know what's funny! They bought Guerilla Games based off tech and promised potential. As Killzone was not a critical hit and sold less than 3 million on PS2.

But somehow deemed RAD not worthy after they proved their worth alone on the PSP. The Order wasn't a critical hit but the sales weren't bad. They would have gotten one of the best technical studios ever along with a studio versed in VR and portable lol.

Same way they threw away Quantic Dreams and Hello Games

The rest of your comment are just as dumb as that one so how am I supposed to know? Or is that your attempt to save face after more bullshit?

Do you not understand what "throwing under the bus" means? Funding them for many years only for them to release a shitty game and clearly having plans to go multiplatform and self publish before The Order 1886 was even finished. And hiring on a new President coming from Blizzard with that purpose in mind.

The game did not sell millions, there is absolutely no source for that

Sony shouldve let ready at dawn continue with the order series instead of letting them doing VR

A very sad news for me

I just love how people are pretending RAD relationship with Sony started with The Order 1886 🤣. Let's pretend they haven't been working exclusively with Sony since 2005 and their lowest rated game prior to the Order 1886 was an 84 on Metacritic... They also had two games rated 90 & 91.

It's just unbelievable to me.

There seems to be no balance or logic to decisions like these
