• Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater remake will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC (Steam)
• In addition to this new game, a rerelease of the original three MGS games — Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Snake Eater — was revealed on Wednesday as part of a collection called Metal Gear Solid Master Collection: Volume 1. It’s set to release this autumn on PS5.

MGS3 is my favorite of the series and one of my all time favorite games, easily in my top 3, so I'm excited for it. Not so excited that it was just a CG trailer and that they didn't announce when we can expect the game...

As a Silent Hill fan, I'm honestly jealous of Metal Gear Solid right now.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is getting a faithful Bluepoint-style remake with the original voice actors and remasters to go with it, while Silent Hill 2 is stuck with a fan fictiony imitation from Bloober Team with overdramatic performances and new plot threads/endings.

Let's hope it's PO and PW for Vol.2 together with MGS4 and they don't have the brilliant idea to put Ground Zero and MGS5 ports with it.

Yeah, they can save everything MGS5 related for a Vol. 3 for all I care (and I don't), but please just make MGS4 and Portable Ops finally playable on modern hardware!

I don’t see the point of releasing mgs3 in collection now when this looks like a 1:1 remaster instead of REmake2.

I’m sure many will be disappointed. It’s just a prettier updated version of snake eater

Pretty much. Looks exactly like the original, including grass being placed in the same spot. Wonder what they'll do with gameplay.

Probably rip MGSV into it I guess? Did they somehow manage to successfully port this to a modern iteration of fox engine? Does it even exist anymore?

I’m assuming it’s Hayter. I honestly wouldn’t hate it if it was Kiefer. Especially since Rabbit/Hole was another banger of a show he just starred in. I want it to be Hayter because thats snake but I’m just saying… not a hater of MGSV and GZ. Love those games.

A remake doesn't need to change the original, it can be a 1:1 remake of everything in the game. I'm concerned about us not knowing the developers, but the screenshots look really good. If they just remake the original 1:1, including gameplay, I'd be more than happy, and there's very little they could fuck up.
