What concessions is Microsoft going to make to get this deal through then?

Please list them here.
That the decision to block the merger because of a potential market in the future... which doesn't even really exist yet (and we don't know if it will ever take off and replace traditional gaming) is complete nonsense. No reason to protect Sony just because everyone knows that PlayStation will be dead when Microsoft owns Activision-Blizzard and Call of Duty. That's Sony's problem.

They already have a foothold in the UK, or did you not read the CMA's findings

“Microsoft has a strong position in cloud gaming services and the evidence available to the CMA showed that Microsoft would find it commercially beneficial to make Activision’s games exclusive to its own cloud gaming service,” the government body said, announcing the findings of its monthslong review.

It reckons Microsoft “accounts for an estimated 60-70% of global cloud gaming services” already, thanks to the advantages of owning Xbox, Windows, and the Azure platform, as well as the Game Pass game subscription service to which Xbox Cloud Gaming is tied. The CMA views cloud gaming as an important, fast-growing sector of the games market that allows gamers to “avoid buying expensive consoles” and presents them with more “flexibility and choice as to how they play.”

So your quote of the potential market is ridiculous, Microsoft is in a Prime position to not only hold a monopoly in the UK but completely take it over.

Monopolies like Microsoft not only hinder innovation but stifle competition.

Why are you rooting for a company that is actively trying to destroy the gaming market is beyond me.

Do you have no soul Sleepy?

Has the FTC given a final answer yet? I dont trust the deal failing yet. Im pretty negative minded when it comes to these things and don’t want to be shocked by a surprise reverse decision

According to Microsoft, Xbox Cloud Gaming on mobile devices has been "unsuccessful," using Fortnite access as an example. Fortnite has been available on Xbox Cloud Gaming for quite a while. When it launched, it was among the first and only times I've experienced queues to access Xbox Cloud Gaming, although I've not seen such server capacity issues since. Microsoft acknowledged that the quality of native mobile games has increased alongside the power of mobile devices.

Coupled with the requirement for an always-online connection, Microsoft indicated that there's "unlikely" to be a "material demand" for cloud gaming any time soon. Furthermore, Microsoft noted that consumer spending on cloud devices accounted for a "de minimis" proportion of the overall pie — a Latin term often used in legal text to describe something too trivial to be even worthy of consideration. The redacted figures pertained to both mobile and PC cloud gaming.

Why are you trusting Microsofts word over this and not regulators?

What does this open-ended comment mean? how long is a piece of string?

a year, 5 years, 100 years, this does not distract from the fact that they will gain a monopoly and stifle competition.

They are investing billions in that market and at the same time they are telling you "Don't worry, it won't really be a big deal in the future", come on dude smell the roses.

No amount of gaslighting from them will work here.

whats that got to do with the CMA?

Your just moving the goal posts all the time, not answering anything lol.
It will influence the CAT and CMA.
Everybody knows that the CMA's "but the cloudz" excuse won't hold. The CAT knows this and the CMA damn well knows it.
It's over. Activision-Blizzard will be a Microsoft company. Sony's main money-maker, Call of Duty, will be a Microsoft IP.
Crash Bandicoot will be Microsoft Xbox mascot. Diablo an Xbox IP, selling more than whatever Naughty Dog, Guerrilla or Santa Monica are developing. Sony can't compete. You know it. Everyone else knows it. The big money makers are ruling this biz now. And that's Microsoft, with all their ~2 trillion dollar company weight.

Netflix of Gaming
Sony will be Sony Pictures, becoming a 3rd party publisher, providing content for Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo and PC.

Everyone knows Xbox is dead. The CAT is going to put them in stocks, draw the guillotine, and cut their head off. Once you see something that traumatic, I expect we'll never see you again, @Sleepy Brown

Only a matter of time.

You're not making any sense at all, you are rambling like a rabid fanboy.

Why would the decision affect those other bodies? excuses for what? It's a decision by an independent regulator, you are clutching at straws, fabricating scenarios in your fanboy mind.

+ What the hell did Sony do to you, where did the Blue Company touch you for you to become so anal about all of this.

There is no more concessions phase…
The deal in UK is dead for at least 10 years.

CAT can at max ask CMA to review or correct the data but they can’t make CMA change their decision.
