I looked it up since the linked article was so light on details, namely the actual prices. First of all, this happened five months ago. Second of all, the price raised from a dollar 1.76 a month to like 5 dollars a month for console ultimate, which is kind of the one I use for a base. So yeah, inflation's a bitch.
This is the second price hike in less than six months.

Inflation wasn't 3x in that time period, it was like 70%
