More PlayStation games are seemingly coming to GOG storefront in the near future

Epic has negative value for players, but only because it pays for exclusives to keep them off of Steam, the preferred platform. As long as Sony is only expanding its list of available storefronts and not replacing Steam with any of the others, its fine. In theory it helps them (they make more off of a copy sold there) if they can actually move enough units on it and its not like it significantly devalues Sony's console- that bridge was crossed when they put it on PC to begin with.
Negative value to players also because it's a terrible 'service'. GoG is also terrible, arguably worse than Epic, but it sells some classic games you can't get elsewhere, and it has this anti-DRM ideology which some people care about. If you buy a game on either service, you bought an inferior version lacking basic functionality. At least with GoG you probably feel like you helped The Little Guy or something. Epic has no mitigating factor.

GoG is a worthy addition to the PC ecosystem. Some gog versions of games are superior to steam. Gothic games for instance.

And GoG actually lets you do a full download, so you don't have to maintain an account, too, right? Does Steam do that, I can't honestly remember, its been so long since I played a game there.

it's redundant but harmless. the only value to gog is the drm-free ethos, which is kind of pointless when we're talking about 5+ year old games. epic has negative-value.
LOL the greatest value of being DRM free is precisely for games preservation. The "old games" you value so little.

Sony and CDPR are friends again, good sign
GOG and CDPR are sister companies, but you're reading too much into this. GOG is always looking into securing more releases and are one of the few storefronts that heavily invest in overcoming license barriers to bring old games back.

No politics here.

Playstation games are already number one most pirated so I'm not sure with this DRM free gesture will do for sales. Sad how I went from anticipating the next playstation studios announcement to dreading new pc port news.
you don't have to pay attention.

Cdpr not saying they are going to sell I’m just saying their situation isn’t the most stable. Their stock never fully recovered from cp2077 launch issues, it cost a ton a fcking money to fix it and a ton of fcking money to release phantom liberty. They’ve had internal development issues. They keep announcing new projects they will bleed them given the high cost of production. They had to cancel and reboot projects and cut cost by laying people off. The next Witcher is several yrs away, so is the Witcher 1 remake, so is the Witcher spinoff, so is the sequel the cp2077. They’ve announced like 5-6 projects just to attract investment not necessarily a sale. But considering the full development cost of cp2077 was nearly half a billion dollars they are going to need some serious investment to do anything along its scope again. Again not saying they are going to sell I’m just saying they may want a publisher with some money to off load some of that cost. Considering how much Microsoft has invested in acquiring so much in the wrpg market it would be smart for PS to pick up a small stake in cdpr same like they did with from. A solid 15% would be fine. Having the marketing rights to all those future big RPGs from cdpr would take a huge shit on all that mid garbage like the next fallout of Elder scroll.

His source is probably jeff grub or david jaffe
No actually it’s Jeff grubs sentient ass. It’s only conscious when he’s asleep like Kuato from total recall. He has lil tiny chubby baby hands and everything and he communicates with me telepathically.

Oh yeah, I definitely think they should get in there...it's kinda important now. One of the last of those kinds of studios for them to get a piece of.
