Personal experience, very true. Most of those, not all.
Speaking from personal experience too. I guess depends on which country we are talking about. In the city I lived in we had 30+ gaming stores. And that was just one city. Huge market. In any case, all Sony has to do is let people pay on PSN with their cards. Just like Steam, it works pretty much everywhere.

The dude is a two-faced hypocrite. He pirates Nintendo games behind the veneer of "well they aren't available for purchase" (yeah right, does anyone believe that he's only emulating old games? Get the fuck outta here) and now he's just exposing that he doesn't give a shit about supporting devs that are actively selling the game. He just thinks that people are entitled to play games whenever they want, for free. Instead of advocating for Sony to establish a retail storefront in those countries he just tells them to steal. He's a complete poser and this is the reason AAA games stayed away from PC for over a decade.
I'm sorry, but bro. Did you even read what he said? You do understand he is talking about the countries that legally cannot purchase the fucking game, right?

Like there is no other way for them to get the game???

But Isn't it being sold to PC players? i mean it's a PC port.
They mean in the regions the game is delisted in, which is still stupid because if someone wants something they physically can't purchase, we know what happens.

So you're entitled to things just because you want them?

I want a bugatti, but I can't afford one. Should I just go to a dealership, swipe some keys, and drive off the lot with one?

"B-b-but it's just copyi--" shut the fuck up nerd

I am not entitled to anything, but that doesn't mean i shouldn't be able to legally own it just because of my location.

let's take your buggati analogy forward, let's say i can afford it, but the buggati dealer won't sell it to me because of where i am born because they can sell the car there but they won't.

also nerd is accurate, i take no offence

That attitude right there is called entitlement.

Then you need to find another dealership and settle for the Volkswagen that you can actually buy.

No one is entitled to take things just because the game isn't being sold in a region.

You can buy a ps5. Or make an account in a different country. Or use a VPN.

Or simply play any one of the thousands of other games on Steam.

First, We have the same on Playstation, it means, they targeting specific demographic for a reason that just they know.
Second, it is a business decision. you encounter those very often in your daily life.

Playstation as some other devs can create a game for specific demographics and it couldn't be viable otherwise. that's why people creating accounts to try demo, or import games from other regions to play it.

What is better, to make a game and release it in one specific targeted demographics, or don't release a game at all if it is not viable by making multi regional?

don't hang up on it. it is example. we aren't entitled to anything in this life.

it is the same, when people trying to use the same entitlement for Souls game where they basically demanding to make it easier and change whole concept of the game just for them.
it is simple, the game is not targeting you.

So it's alright to exclude someone from games "you publish" just because they live in countries where you don't provide services in the countries they live in?

Again, I really don't get where you are getting the entitlement angle from?
i am just making an objective attempt at argument for a game i like being restricted not by it's developer but a publisher.
Settle for a Volkswagen when i can afford a buggati?
But the buggati is being marketed to me, just because the dealership gets in the way of me and the seller i should give up?

How is that fair? Oh and be reminded PSN isn't available in 121 countries. that's not a minority
Buy a PS5 is a good defense when the game is not literally coming to PC!

Also as far as VPN's go

I am on the same page, my argument is not what they are doing is inherently wrong, my point is how limited this is for someone like me who can't legally have a PSN account.

The "just they know" part hit's about right man, i really don't get why they would exclude 121 countries lmao

In terms of which is better, i would go with what the devs think about who should be able to play the game, for we have seen how in the whole helldivers 2 fiasco the devs were forced to implement the change, i assume it's the same in case of Sucker Punch, the studio and devs would ofcourse benefit from more sales, but the publisher or "dealership" is getting in the way because of their lack of infrastructure in many countries

again i really don't see why people keep calling my argument a entitled perspective lmao

Oh and no, i personally don't see the connection in the fromsoft analogy, i mean they can at least play the game before figuring it's not for them in that case, but i see why you see it that way

and finally, the game isn't so much not targeting me as is forced not to target me

Are the Steam lunatics complaining again?

Didn’t want to break TOS and get banned.

Well Sony gave you what you wanted.

Yes, actually. Because Sony owns the game

Lmao you cannot be serious.

Right now there is no Chipotle in my town. I love Chipotle. The fact that Chipotle doesn't feel the need to open a franchise in my town doesn't mean I can walk in to another Chipotle and take a tub of steak cubes.

Lmao there are zero actual issues using a VPN. There are tens of thousands of people using VPNs for PSN.
