I have the OG joy cons that came with the Switch and after 2 years or so of use, it started drifting.
By that time, I had bought one conversor of sorts to use my Dualshock 4 controller as a Pro controller because it's cheaper than buying the nintendo one and the D-Pad is better so I ditched the joy con altogether for a long time, 1,5 half years more or less.
Recently, I started replaying Super Mario 3D World on portable mode and, guess what, the joy cons are not drifting anymore.
I don't know what happened and how long it'll stay that way. I'm just amazed that it "healed" itself.
