Not sure what the point of gold is anymore. Can't remember last time I got something I enjoyed on there. Actually I do remember. Super Mega Baseball Stars 2. Don't ask me why, but I love that game so much!!

The point of Gold is to monetize all the people who play Fifa and CoD and nothing else all day. Not many people care about the games that come with Gold.

PS+ Essential is clearly the better deal, and has been for a long time even during shit months.

Yes, Microsoft would love for all the Gold users to switch to GPU, that's why they tried to double the price. It won't work though. Gold users are not interested in GPU (yet), they only want to play Fifa 24/7.

As long as there is a massive shortage of PS5's for the NA market it wont matter either. It will always be the off-brand that can run third party games. Doesn't matter if the platform is mediocre or goes years on without big exclusives... it will still sell to casuals who go to the store and see the PS5 shelf empty, or online and see the sold-out sign. Proof in the pudding...
