Not surprised, since James Gunn already said that he has plans for the character in the medium.
The best case scenario would be an Arkhamverse Superman game developed by Rocksteady with a famous comic book writer attached. But based on what's already been said, it will probably be a tie-in to the new DCU cinematic universe with some of the same actors. I'm hoping for the former, though.

Superman is too powerful for a video game, he can level an entire city in seconds and is almost invincible. How do you make a game qith a charecter like that?
-Down power him for most the game. Death and Return of Superman or some Lex Luthor scheme
-Large scale destroyable cities
-Give him a “conscious” where he wont break buildings and cities
-Strong enemies who arent human lol

They could do a Superman game with all of the super-powers of Superman and make the game bad-arse. To avoid boredom of being an unstoppable, unkillable machine, without having to resort to nerfing or making the character a fanny, they could make it a VR game.
