A hardware revision wouldn't require new dev kits. This is either a refresh on existing ones, or they are releasing a third sku with yet again completely new specs. Maybe the rumoured souped up series S

It's probably unlocking the Xbox Velocity Architecture, so the Series X is able to compete with the upcoming PS5 Pro.

If you combine the brand new DirectX Ultimate 2.0 tools, with the hidden second RDNA2.5 GPU in the power supply and the power of Azure clouds PS5 Pro stands no chance.
buttt, maybe 4090 would get a chance?

MS will sell a connector for $300 that allows you to connect your PC GPU to the Series X to go along with their storage upgrade solution. :ROFLMAO:
hmmm.. that actually would be best idea in 24 years of xbox existent.

Eww... it's like combining the worst things about PC (upgrade arms race and endless hardware combination) and consoles (Xbox).

Maybe make the next Xbox a e-GPU that people can connect to their laptops/non-gaming PCs.

Discless Series X revision most likelly, the Series S Pro.
Why would that need a new SDK though?
This sounds really strange, to be honest.

My hope is that this SDK is a hardware target for Windows handhelds with the Phoenix chip (ROG Ally, Legion Go, GPD Win3, etc.) running at e.g. 20W.

Would they dare release an Xbox Series Pro variant? Sounds like and unbelievably poor decision. They are already barely moving any consoles and their games are now releasing on PlayStation.
