Easy 140M until is phased out. Won't reach PS2 numbers unless it has a hefty price cut.
Zelda sold 20 million in less than a year, that is beyond impressive
It feels like the PS2 sales record is unbreakable. If Switch can’t break it, nothing will.

19.5 so far, to be precise. Since 15 million were within the first three days of launch (as per that thread that I kept bumping and referencing to humiliate that Goku kid) its only sold 4.5 million after the first three days. Not sure if thats truly disappointing or not though, its a sequel to a massive (as in play time, not mindshare) game and you either want it or you don't.

It was 10 million in first 3 days.
They doubled it in like 4 months… even so most of shipment was in the previous quarter (18.51 million)… this quarter accounts for 1 million.
it is pretty great.
and they didn't need PC... in fact, I'd say it's partly because people know it's the only place you can get it.
It all depends on how long Nintendo wants to keep it on the market. Comparing vs the PS2 still feels like an apples to oranges comparison as the PS2 kept selling for more than a decade while the switch is on its 7th year. If they keep it on the market until 2025 with some price cuts, it will for sure surpass the PS2.
It's why i wish Nintendo and Sony would merge, if Sony studios were managed by Nintendo they woukd be much bigger successes.
Astro and Ape escape have a ton of potential to be massive franchises.
