ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE NEWSTECH NEWS

On Wednesday, we got the pretty interesting news that Nvidia showcased some generative AI tools that could be implemented into video games. These tools could help developers create AI-generated storylines and character dialogue. Well, Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang, said that fully AI-generated games are no more than 10 years away.

Right now, we are still at the point where we’re wondering just how far generative AI will go. It’s already proven to be extremely capable and scary at the same time. The technology has already disrupted several Industries including journalism, art, music, Etc. Now, we’re all wondering what impact it will have on gaming.

We predict that more people will use AI for gaming in the future. However, we’re not certain that many people will use AI for actually coding the games. According to a recent study, most companies don’t like to use AI for coding.

have the groundwork set for a certain technology, production only accelerates from there on. More people and companies are hopping on the AI train, so who knows if 10 years turns into 5 years? For all we know, AI could substantially influence video games just one year down the road.

🤣😂 I think we have a few already (coughs) Musk.
The existence of Musk and his history of boneheaded decisions seemingly based on emotion such as the buyout of Twitter and every action taken with it since is probably the biggest argument in favor of AI CEOs.

He could be right, but the assumption of progress for this area feels like a sure fire way to look kinda dumb down the road. AI programming still really, really sucks.

Yeah but it'll evolve rapidly and exponentially just look at Terminator 😂

He can do all that and still be pretty much tied for being the richest man in the world, what are his incentives to behave as you would deem appropriate?

Man who benefits from AI being used in more and more ways says the technology will be there and usable soon™
Also, I've noticed that Jensen has been more exuberant in some of these presentations in recent years, looks like the man is feeling himself a bit too much 🤣

But really time will tell if it gets there and it is actually as useful as thought to be in the grand scheme of things.

When everything is created and operated by AI, who the fuck will be able to afford products?

AI consumers. Meanwhile we useless meatbags will be relegated to small pods to live out our "lives" virtually, since that's all we can afford

One area I don't mind generative AI making huge inroads is code optimisation. Anything on the artistic side is pretty filthy, but if AI can help get stuff running better and improve the efficiency of tools/profiling, bring it.
