Social media and YouTube has been flooded with tweets, comments and videos that really highlight the incredible hatred pc and steam fan oys have for PlayStation.

Despite being the beneficiaries of recent high quality ports and Helldivers 2 launching the same day on steam and ps5, they wish for Sony and PlayStation to die and lose at every turn.

To them all they want is for Sony to die, they see every PlayStation exclusive as a personal insult to them since they feel entitled to every game releasing on PC. If Sony was to disaper alongside all their games they would see it as a win.

With few exceptions like Helldivers 2, Bloodborne and Gran Turismo, Sony doesn't make games that really appeal to the PC audience (at least the paying audience).

The only reason they are not like that with Nintendo is that all along they were able to easily pirate Nintendo games.

All that I've said is pretty evident and discussed in the open on any PC community. Sony is extremely stupid to want to get involved with it but it's out of our control so fuck them, let them get what they are asking for.

PC gamers hate Playstation because Sony actually gatekeeps great single-player games that they really want to play, without the live-service and mtx crap that Ubisoft and EA continuously push down their throat.

It's a testament to Playstation's 1st-party quality of output.

They don't even care about Sony's games since all they play is shitty GaaS and even shittier survivals. They just want everything to be ported to PC because they know it will lead to the demise of Playstation.

They could have bought a PlayStation console if they really cared about their games.

I'm not going around wishing Steam to fail because I'd really like to play Alyx on PSVR2 on PS5.

Ironically, it's they only thing that might save Sony from itself.

But even if their single player games keep flopping and people on PC keep on hatting them they'll just blame it on execution and never reconsider their strategy.

It blows my mind that Sony is so unbothered by piracy, their love for PC is something else if it makes them overlook that. For years the only support the Vita was getting were patches to fight piracy years after they killed the console.

yup, it's how PC players get what they want. they will trash ps while at the same time beg them for games.

"look at that sony? HD2 is now your fastest selling game thx to PC, TAKE NOTES " as if Sony themselves aren't ones that orchestrated the entire operation.

No matter how much they beg, I hope they realize the only day and dates is day 1 GAAS, timed single player. This will not change anytime soon. i just want gaming discourse to move on from portbegging/sales dooming.

Then they'll pirate them. :ROFLMAO:

Or in the case of a GaaS find some reason to get a refund when they have played their share.

We just gave them their fastest sold game ever. Of course they love us new customers.Console users can't be nickeled and dimed anymore and the userbase won't increase that much.

Also they are too stingy to pay for Denuvo licenses it seems. Do that and problem solved.

"wont increase that much"

Do you realize that PC hardware sales are in the gutter right now? What happens when Sony's PC audience reaches a limit? Why are you pretending PC leads to infinite growth? It's nothing but a complimentary source of revenue. PC is hardly important to Sony.

Console players are the problem, PlayStation is all about PC now.

It's all about incremental number of customers and spend. 4 years ago PC only gamers spent 0 USD in PS software. These days Sony gets hundreds of millions each year from that market and will grow once they release more multiplayer games. Do you think Helldivers 2 was a coincidence?

It doesn't matter if the total market decline eventually. It's about the growth opportunity and since Sony can't sell 155M PS5, here we are.

Growth opportunity that has it's limits. From what it sounds like, you want Sony to prioritize PC over their own ecosystem. You overestimate the importance of PC ports. They are only essential for Gaas, a part of the market which sony is only just starting to make plays in
