3080 was not enough the day I bought it on release day. Was 100% DAY 1.
At least you have much better 12gb version. My 10gb founders edition craps out in a lot of games at 4k due to low vram.

But that way or another, 3080 is not great nowadays.
That’s just sad

Unfortunately that won't fix stuttergate nor other weirdness. And yet companies still keep bringing out games with exact same issues.

And we can already see in this thread that the defence force is present.

No incentive for companies to change.

I mean come on, this might be bad but not close to the real issue of PC gamers like creating a psn account/s

That's the frustrating part. Shader stutter happens on all systems no matter the hardware. At least in the past you could power through most issues by spending more money. Not the case anymore.

I wouldn't buy a 12GB card in 2024. No matter how many people try to convince you that it's not necessary. The 3070 aged like shit thanks to its limited Vram.

I'm always a bit disappointed when I read people complaining on performance threads for PC releases, and they're citing how the game performance is unacceptable, then they cite, like a 1080TI as their "flagship GPU." 😔
Most people don't game on top end rigs because they're unnecessary. Power gaming is best done on consoles for the vast majority.
The dirty secret is most PC gamers are happy gaming on a PS4 rig. It's why hardware like the switch sells so well and why the PS4 is still so popular.
