This is why big push for digital future and laying off physical retail dept.No wonder retailers are removing Xbox games from their stores. Storage and logistics costs must be higher than game sales.
Since Xbox is quitting Sony will be able to capture a good chunk of those less than 10%.I hope PlayStation doesn’t follow suit and just keep making physical games
that % even higher for PS exclusives, like 50-60%, there is like 0 sense to remove PS the physical releases.I hope PlayStation doesn’t follow suit and just keep making physical games
Lol why do you think he chose 50% and not 60, 70, 80 or 90%?More than 50% can mean 90.01% for Nintendo and less than 10% can mean 9.99% for MS, Sony getting 0%. Or can also mean Nintendo getting 50.01% and MS getting 0.01% and Sony getting 49.98%.
So Sony has something in the range from 0% to 49.98%.
Being more realistic, Nintendo may have around 55%, MS around 8%, so Sony should be pretty likely between 35-40%.
MS being less than 10% of the physical market makes understandable that retailers may stop selling their games there, and in other markets where they have even worse numbers even more. So it's understandable MS would stopp selling physical games. Not the case for Sony and Nintendo.
I think he did so because the real number is somewhere between 50% and 56%.Lol why do you think he chose 50% and not 60, 70, 80 or 90%?
they won't, they still sell a lot of physical copies, it would be suicide, i think now they need to support it even more, cause they'll be the only high end console platform to provide physical gamesI hope PlayStation doesn’t follow suit and just keep making physical games
Ya love to see it.Physical sales gaming is +60% at least for Sony's first party games.
