What do you think that means?
I think it means that as seen in this thread some people mistunderstood what they were saying there so they removed it.
I think they are hiring a producer for the San Diego team that did work on the TLOUP1 remake. A team created by Sony Visual Arts Services Group staff who made that remake, codeveloping it with Naughty Dog.
Some people like in this thread thought it's a different new studio that will have staff from Naughty Dog and that can work in Uncharted 5. Which I think it isn't the case.
Sony VASG is a support team that since many years ago did help with cinematics and animations in a ton of AAA games from Sony (SSM, ND, Insomniac, Guerrilla, Japan Studio...) and 3rd party but mostly animation and cinematics only. A small portion of VASG staff created this new team in San Diego because wanted to lead their own projects instead of continuing as a support team. First they wanted to make movies or tv shows using CG/cutstene material from games, Sony didn't greenlight it and told them to focus on games.
Later they thought about making an Uncharted 1 remake because thought it would be easier to get a greenlight and because they already had material they made for a failed test of an Uncharted CG movie/tv show. But saw that it needed too much effort for them in areas like coding and game design to update it properly, so moved to TLOU1 remake because they thought that wouldn't need to update a lot of gameplay and that a lot of engine tech could be reused from TLOU2. TLOU1 remake got greenlighted and released.
When Jason Shredder leaked the TLOUP1 remake he mentioned that it was greenlighted before Hermen got promoted to be in charge of PS Studios and when Hermen saw the project of the remake didn't like it, thought they were spending too much budget and resources for what they had done until then, to the point he asked that Sony VASG spinoff to go back to their support role and asked ND to take the lead to complete the rest of the development of the remake with a better balance between quality and budget.
The role of being in charge of the resources, budget and meeting milestones of a game is the producer. So if you ask me, I think Hermen/PS Studios/SIE wasn't happy with the work of the producer that this team had in TLOUP1 and once they shipped the remake they are looking for a different producer to replace him for their next project.
