I don't understand why this is a problem again. The game is over 7 years old and the Complete Edition was given away to anyone with a PSN account. Even those who didn't have a PS+ could add the game to their library almost 3 years ago.

It was already leaked last year that a remaster was coming and after the official announcement, anyone could have bought it for the old price. What's the problem now? Everyone who wanted it already has the game anyway, and the upgrade is intended for them. Everyone else will of course have to pay more or wait until it's reduced again. But I'm sure that some people won't buy it then, like in previous years.

I don't know if Sony is greedier than other companies now. I was recently able to buy FH5 for 20 euros, even though I bought all the DLC back then. Unfortunately, MS only gives a free FH5 to DLC buyers who were Game Pass users at the time of the announcement, which I wasn't. My own stupidity, and soon I won't buy any DLC for games that I use in GP and will wait until it is delisted/reduced.

If you don't have a copy of HZD yet, it's your own fault. You could have guessed with Uncharted, Ghost of Tsushima or most recently with LoU 2 that Sony would offer an upgrade and adjust the old versions again. And I'm sure that in the future, probably as soon as Days Gone Remaster is announced and it costs $10 for owners, we'll have a few idiots reporting about it and getting upset when Sony adjusts prices.

Yes, some discounts/price cuts are temporal. Sometimes companies decide that is better to go back to a more expensive pricing.

Aaaand this is number 1 ladies and gentlemen!! Go suck Hulst's cock. Defending a company doubling the price of old software is a mental disability.

The game came out 7 and a half years ago.

Whoever wanted to play it, bought it during that period, for €70 when it came out, or for less than €10 when it was on sale.

A remaster was announced, 70% of the population spit it out and the most common comment was: "no one asked for this".

Those same 70% are now pissed because Sony raised the price of the digital version of the game. They weren't interested in the games they haven't bought before, and they probably aren't interested in this Remaster version either.

The one who, after 7 and a half years since the release of the game, goes to buy the game on Store at any price, just so that he can upgrade to the Remaster version cheaper, is an idiot.

If you want to play Zero Dawn Remaster, but you haven't owned the game yet, pay full price. Or buy the fucking PS4 version on disc, it costs €9.99.

Use some damn common sense, dammit

What exactly is the issue here? Did you all expect they would keep the game price dirt cheap while allowing a $10 upgrade?

Anyone who wanted this game would have had it years ago, they did everything to make sure it was in anyone's library who wanted it

This is what they do with digital, total price controls.

I used to be able to assume I could buy a copy of an old game for dirt cheap on ebay, local ads or even GameStop, this is over.

Even indie games keep their prices up for years and years now.

This is not a Sony thing.
