Ignoring so called "twitter discourse" and backlash from paying customers resulted in Ubisoft's current situation, Lets see how it works out for playstation in the long run. I dont even care anymore they might as well release day 1 pc ports and even xbox ports, I am going to just sail the high seas for their first party games not even worth getting them on discount going forward

100% deserved.

They failed to make a better overall game then Spiderman PS4 filled w woke/agenda aspects & major plot line missing.

Instead of Insomniac working on DLC they were instead working on a PC port.

And if PS wasn’t porting there games to PC there likely wouldn’t be a PC version that was found in the insomniac hack that likely push Sony to release Spiderman 2 on PC faster. Maybe if PS like Nintendo didn’t make PC version they could’ve extracted more money by selling 3 $30 DLC equating to more money & more players reach because if we be honest Spider-Man 2 pc port will sell less then 500K if there lucky they’ll hit 250K max + not to mention Spider-Man 2 will be yet another fiasco w PC players modding suits, storyline/dlc, mary jane hell they’ll likely introduce coop play/online function.

PS this gen has released & greenlighted more games for PC then there actual PS console & imo spells dangerous threat to PS console & PS storefront when Switch 2 gets all 3rd party including 3rd party that used to be traditional exclusive to PS + major Nintendo exclusive such as Mario Kart 9, Splatoon 4, Smash Ultimate deluxe, Pokemon, 3D Mario, Zelda etc. Hell I can see Nintendo getting more PS games such as Helldivers 2, Horizon online, GOW collection remaster etc

Funny enough PC players will likely mod dlc into the PC version making the PS version inferior in 3 ways.

Inferior in performance, inferior in price & inferior in content.

PS really diminishing there platform & storefront for less then 5% of sells compared to the PS version & in some cases less then 1% 💀

Sony losing market share to itself on two fronts is funny. It wasn't Microsoft not Nintendo that killed Playstation, it was suffocating on their own farts.
Sony isn't losing market share anywhere. The factual data says they are increasing it both in console and PC.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft listened to the criticism from Twitter...

The one where WatchDogs1 was called too gray, Aiden Pierce was called gloomy, Desmond Miles was called a crying baby and all the gameplay in the present was called garbage, and a lot of sidequests in AC Origins and Odyssey were criticized.

As a result, we got a bright WD2 and AC Valhalla...

There are different kinds of criticism, and Ubisoft listened to the loudest and most incompetent.

They're losing sales to the PS4. 50% still haven't upgraded. That isn't good.
A year or two again Sony compared PS5 vs PS4 launch aligned, and PS5 is getting better numbers in basically all revenue and engagement metrics, which is good.

PS4 was also getting better numbers now than before in terms of game revenue, game subs revenue or engagement, which is good.

Dozens of millions of PS4 users still haven't upgraded, but continue engaged and generating money for them in PS4, which is good.

Even if we're more or less in the half of the generation, combining PS4, PS5 and PC they generated more revenue this generation than in any previous one, and more profits than in all theiir previous generations combined, which is good.

Launch aligned, launch aligned, launch aligned. It's the new power of the cloud. Wake up.

It's not good when that revenue is strangling new revenue, with half of your customers lost because they refuse to upgrade. It's a damning testament of your product if your old customers don't want the new one.
Swap PS5 and PS4 with Golf MK3 and Golf MK4 or iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 or windows 7 and windows 10...
Dozens of millions of PS4 users still haven't upgraded, but continue engaged and generating money for them in PS4, which is good.
Again, it's not good. I would say use your brain but...
Even if we're more or less in the half of the generation, combining PS4, PS5 and PC they generated more revenue this generation than in any previous one, and more profits than in all theiir previous generations combined, which is good.
So it takes the old generation, the current generation AND pc to say they earn more than the previous generation...
Am I being trolled? Are you high? Reread what you typed.

Latest YoY quarterly console sales are showing a very sharp decline that we didn't see in the PS4 era.

Traditionally, at the 4 year mark the consoles would have been much cheaper than they were at release, bringing in a second wave of buyers.
The PS5 is apparently not getting that second wave, ever.

We'll still see if this holiday season is getting some significant price decreases on the consoles that would bring in new customers. If the current trend continues, what we're getting is a PS5 console sales collapse.
