Who's this dude? Subbed. Really cool video.
Idk but I also enjoyed the video and his exp in those diff settings was spot in to mine. Too much propaganda running around with ppl not properly explaining things like "omg the lag is terrible, unplayable" no be clear and say you live on a mountain with 3g wifi thts why its bad!

I see a lot of idiots on GAF who have their PS5 on WiFi on a shitty ISP-provided router/modem/toaster who claim that Remote Play is complete shit. Or the ones with the $199 Asus laptop who claim Remote Play sucks because it’s laggy on their joke laptop that has a 10 cent WiFi chip.

It’s amazing how stupid people can be about network stuff.

It isn't just network stuff. They can barely wrap their head around One Screw.

My review so far.

I took.a video and literally at least in my house the connection is 1:1 with no percieveable lag whatsoever. I love it!

System connected very easily with no hitches.

Unit is sturdy and feels very premium

Yeah this unit is big but comfortable

The audio from the system is more than adequate for me but I'm no audiophile

The screen is great for not being OLED. I mean the colors really pop and everything looks clear.

Man if they ultimately allow streaming from plus on this this will be a no brainer.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my Portal and am very happy.

I'm more than surprised on how good the latency is. Screen is fantastic. I like it better than my deck and ally. Really easy to setup. If they allow the PSPlus streaming with this it'll be fantastic. Great device for what it is.

Woke up at 3 a.m. today and hopped on my Portal. Easily played 5 hours nonstop of "TLOU Remastered" and enjoyed every minute. Loving my Portal.
See the wait to get one was well worth it. I’m enjoying mines also and it makes it easier to jump into a non split screen multiplayer game with my daughter without being in separate rooms

Still waiting for these to become available. I must admit the absolute wall of talk about lag and bad connections really shook me.

Thing is, I’ve never had that experience using my phone plus a backbone controller. I actually find remote play quite impressive. I’m not sure why it would be any different here, or what these people are doing.

I suppose one explanation could be a weaker WiFi chip or range, but I see people also beasting with this thing, so I really don’t know.

I suspect I’m just going to have to jump in with it and see if it’s the RE4 portability device I want and crave right now.

The remote play exp has been no diff than my remote play exp with my laptop and I game more than 150 miles away regularly and have no issues. It's all about your connection at this point.

OH and I bought mine after weeks and weeks of trying using a stock app with notifications on.

I tested out the Portal at my parent's home about 4 hour drive away and it ran well enough that I'll never bring a PS5 in the car again there. I did a bit of damage to the backlog since I got the beaut. 😂
Glad to hear man. It just feels good In the hands and kind of takes you aback initially when you see how big a device it is but it works and it's a better device because of it.

I don't want to sound like I'm shitting on the Switch but I hope there is an option to buy controller sides similar to the PS5 controller to add to the Switch or Switch 2. Going back to Switch feels wrong holding it.
