I think that since the dual issue has almost no impact on perceived performance in games, Sony, unlike AMD, simply preferred to indicate the TFs that correspond most closely to real in-game performance so as not to mislead people. Not only does this allow a more or less fair comparison to be made with the PS5, it also avoids marketing bullshit.

Personally until proven otherwise I prefer to rely on tom henderson's leak which so far has been proven correct so far.

This actually happened already with the PS4 -> PS4 Pro.

I remember really digging the PS4's box that was not only robust but was also easy to pack the console and controllers, and most of all it had a plastic handle. That meant whenever I needed to bring the PS4 with me I'd just use the official box.
With the PS4 Pro they removed the handle and made the boxing/unboxing a lot harder, so it became worthless.
