even with Fraye i would take the spin-off game.
i would prefer that they made a remake of older game, or even few.. it takes them ages to make this new IP. it is already 4 years.
please let it be:
- Singleplayer
- Not live service
- Not a third person over the shoulder movie-styled story heavy action game
Yeah I agree that you can't do GoW without Kratos considering.... he is the GoW lmfao. I think SMS's new IP is in full prod until 2026.... meaning no GoW until 2030 or so.
I see people rebel over these type of games but how often to we get them in high quality? Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch has been gone for 4 years, SMS will be gone for several years, Insomniac won't be ready until 2026. Someone could fill the gap..... personally most excited for whatever Housemarque is cooking.

That last one might be quite aged by now and probably not "high quality" but I would like to see Sony do another platformer or a jrpg or a roguelike or even a character action game like DMC and Bayonetta. Maybe a flying game like Ace Combat or a life sim like Animal Crossing? I just thing Astrobot was a really good direction for Sony and seeing them continue to add more variety to their repertoire would be refreshing.
Disappointing to hear, but I'll remain open minded about what they come out with.

I wish..... Not so much a JRPG as I feel like that lane has been flourishing this gen without Sony contributing other than throwing money at SE. A character action game would be the right choice for SMS as I feel the newest GoW games are almost exactly that. No guesses on what is is bluepoint is doing(hopefully it's single player AAA), but I have an underlying feeling Naughty Dogs next game takes from Elden Ring and BOTW, also melee combat oriented.
It's true. Partner Studio Bluepoint won't do shit on their own. Sony should have been more clear right when they acquired them. Now we're gonna have more meltdowns coming when the truth will be out in the open eventually
I feel like they've been pretty transparent with this development for a while now, but some were getting held up on "original" vs. "new IP."

Aren’t Bluepoint developers originally from Retro Studios who made Metroid Prime?
I don't think they have ever let us down. Same goes for Nixxes.
