Exactly, they could have been pushing for growth and cater to specific markets to really grow globally but they doubled down on this "one size fits all" strategy.

Money over growth, they put even a few million dollars over the longterm growth of PS5 sales.... it's so shortsighted.

If there was one word to sum up this gen of PS management, it would be "shortsighted".

Other words "Unfriendly", "Greedy", "Misguided", "Unfocused".

I have three played with it to beat Zelda and Mario. I really didn't like botw but furced myself to finish and Mario was Mario. My switch is basically brand new since launch.

You get roms of old NES and SNES games (and Genesis, N64 and GB/GBA if you pay more), online multiplayer, a single "retroBR" type game like Tetris 99 or Mario 35 and thats it. No community interaction, friend codes instead of usernames, etc.

All in on draining money. I think they really thought ppl would move on from PS to get gamepass for bs Redfall, Starfeild, etc... And the other games on it ppl already played or didn't care for.

We have to remember that with the extra tiers and price increases PS+ is also reaching record revenue even if the amount of subs is pretty much flat since a while ago.
