Browser is a waste of effort, the ones on the ps3 and ps4 were crappy to use anyway.
As others have mentioned it opens up the system to hacks, sony could do stuff like disable features like downloads. But hackers are crafty they will look for away around, and then sony have to get into some cat and mouse game.
You should look into see if any streaming sticks have browsers.
