Looking at these numbers seems that Sony were able to ship around 45-50K units per week during a month or so and then they were able to ship 95-100K consoles per week during other month or so.

In my humble opinion, I don't think we should really care about beating Switch at this stage, I'm just happy to see PS selling well in Japan.
I think Nintendo is saving the console for the movie launch to bundle Mario.

Even better, PS5 software is now charting more regularly in the Top 10. So one of the last pieces 'certain' people had to keep downplaying the console's sales in Japan is fading away quickly.
