Why wouldn't Sony release a PS5 Pro? They'll sell more PS5s and make more money, the PS4 Pro did not in any way disrupt the success of the next console.
How is it that a PS5 Pro isn't viable but some imaginary (most likely impossible) portable PS5 is that would also require patching every single game released so far. It's like you are not even trying.
Sony failed with their handheld. Nintendo failed with traditional living room consoles.PS5 Pro will NOT enhance PS5 sales. The PS5 is doing that just fine.
What Sony needs is a handheld to get back some marketshare in Japan and stop giving Nintendo a free run in that market.

Both are focused on their strength. Sony isn't giving Nintendo a free market share nor Nintendo is giving Sony a free market share. The two don't directly compete with each other, but they offer quality alternatives to consumers and help grow the industry.
Of course it will. Plenty of enthusiasts would go for one.PS5 Pro will NOT enhance PS5 sales. The PS5 is doing that just fine.

Why is it impossible when we have seen the best looking console game this gen running just fine on a 1.8tf PS4.
The Asus Rog for example is 8tf in power. More than enough for Ps5 ports.
We have had the PSP and PS Vita which were scaled down PS2 and PS3 doing that just fine in the past.

They didn't put huge investment on the pro. It serves for convenience and retaining customer base that probably spend the most in Playstation content and subscriptions.More than a premium handheld?
Did the PS4 Pro sell more than the failed Vita?
10-15 million units.
Considering the PS4 sold 117 million that would mean the PS4 pro would need to make up atleast 10-15% of total Ps4 sales to beat the Vita.
I highly doubt that was the case.
More than something that won't exist? Sure.More than a premium handheld?

I'm here hoping for a PS4 Portable some day and there you are confident in a PS5 Portable. I just can't see it happening at all.

its mainly and best for lighting. simulating how it works. casting light rays and tracing where they bounce is the best way to give a game realistic dynamic global illumination, shadows, etc. RTGI is cool tech
for some games yes, some noThat's cool and all, but is it really worth cutting the fps in half?
Here is how I see it, a "PRO" console allows Sony to sell units at a higher price than they normally would (either the make a cheaper "slim PS5" and they make the "PRO PS5" at the price of the OG or even a bit higher for those who want the latest and greatest PS system.PS5 Pro will NOT enhance PS5 sales. Not sure what the issue is. Nobody is going to be forced to buy this, Sony is offering a new SKU for people that want it. And like it or not, further down the line it might be the only way to play a lot of games at 60 fps on console. This will be even more pointless than PS4 pro. And it least you could market pro with 4K televisions.
Better ray tracings effects? You mean the graphics that hardly anyone can tell the difference? lol ok.
Still hoping this is scrapped. It’s really not needed.

I don't recall PS4 Pro having any significant adverse impact. I'm confident Sony will make it as easy as possible for devs, they've done a great job so far.Yeah nobody has to buy it but development resources still has to be put into it instead of just focusing on the PS5.
You know.....the console that just fixed its supply problems and is about to get an abundance of exclusive games built for it.
