Over in the world of console hardware, across tracked European markets, console sales reached nearly 475,000 units over January, a slight dip of 1.4% over the year before (the data does not cover UK or Germany). Strong sales of PS5 (which was still suffering stock shortages across Europe a year ago), was offset by a sharp decline in Nintendo Switch sales. Nintendo Switch is approaching its seventh anniversary, and a successor console is expected to arrive this year. There was also a slight dip in Xbox Series S and X sales.

It is already 3:1 in most parts of the world or even more, only Americas is keeping the overall to double ratio. It would be hard to overcome American made mentality and Microsoft's PR campaigns to double PS sales there.

So it's down in the UK by -17% but up in EU(by an unknown % right now).
This probably means that January still had some countries that were lacking supply in Q1 for Europe.
Makes sense, the UK(relative to the rest of Europe) is a stronger Xbox market, so you'd want to ship your consoles there first in order to be the most competitive.

All this before the new indie arrivals from Microsoft on the Sony system too.

This is impressive considering price is more expensive (for digital) compared to last year. PS5 Slim is the only PS slim model that didnt get price drop.

Very true and Sony has no need to drop the price as the consumers still gave shown it is in demand.
