Some good stuff we are about to experience. I'm loving the advancement and upgrade from psvr1.Well, this is sure to trigger some PC and Quest fanboys!
The amount Sony has pushed the tech makes the price point absolutely amazing. I look forward to getting one down the line. Some good stuff we are about to experience. I'm loving the advancement and upgrade from psvr1.
My 2 cents. The thing needs quality games. Also lots of casual games like sports. Needs gaas game with shared world where you collect resources in dungerous zones, some sort of community around. There way too many shooters.I mean not really surprising - I don't know of any other significant VR devices that are coming out in the near future. I never tired PSVR, dunno if I go for PSVR2 but we will see. I still think the tech is into infancy and nowhere near where it needs to be and the affordability of it as well.
I agree, it needs a killer social game e.g. Something like a virtual Pokémon go would do wonders for sales imo and really bring it to the forefront. Also with how big tlou is getting a vr component or version would also sell it.My 2 cents. The thing needs quality games. Also lots of casual games like sports. Yes that may be somewhat true - I am not saying that VR hasn't progressed, it 100% has and is much more viable. But at same time there are still a lot of inconveniences when it comes to owning a VR set. They've been saying vr is in its infancy since forever. All tech evolves and gets better over time and I'm glad Sony is pushing it because if they didn't on the console end no one would and we would never get to see it's potential. The early previews and ppl that have tried it are enthusiastic and I'm loving the feedback.
Motion sickness with some games on psvr1 was also an issue for me but I enjoyed it overall. Resi Evil, Astrobot and few other games were super high quality VR and really showed out VR for me which is why I'm all in on PSVR2.Yes that may be somewhat true - I am not saying that VR hasn't progressed, it 100% has and is much more viable. The price is also still to high as well for the majority of the crowd. And if I am being quite frank I haven't seen any game yet besides Half Life Alyx to this day that really pushes and utilizes VR like it does.
I want to get into it myself, but there are still many factors that are keeping me from investing including
- Price
- Still not wireless (unless you talking about Quest 2, but it's not as good as Valve Index.
- Lack of high quality titles from AAA publishers/developers
- Still too large and clunky. They have definitely got smaller but not small enough for my tastes
My honest opinion.
Yeah motion sickness is a thing for a lot of people. And yes I heard Resident Evil 7 was very good in VR. I never tried PSVR or any of the last few VR devices. I bought an Oculus Rift back when it first came out for $300 and that was a massive mistake. Haven't touched since. I got bought into the hype, so this is why I am waiting extra long now.Motion sickness with some games on psvr1 was also an issue for me but I enjoyed it overall. As you should. I'll give my impressions when I get it and I'll mention whether or not I got motion sickness. I'm not sensitive to motion sickness at all but select games caused it which was surprising to me.Yeah motion sickness is a thing for a lot of people. PSVR2 will be an important release for Sony and the VR industry as a whole. So I hope it does well.
Wouldn't count on Nintendo doing any serviceable vr they are in it for the quick buck lolI'm super excited for PSVR2, but I haven't tried VR yet outside of Labo (lmao). Hopefully Nintendo does VR right at some point. Maybe a switch/quest 2 type of thing?
